Every other section has this stickied so I thought I would start one. Forgive me if its in there already but I could not find it.
Anyway here's what I did.
After removing the different cover for a routine fluid change I decided to paint the cover, it needed a little touching up so I thought I would go ahead and paint it red. I already had some farm equipment paint on hand, I'm pretty sure it will hold up to any temps that might be reached.

After my old man emu steering stabiliser install yesterday (steering wheel was off center), found that it triggered the anti-skid system code and stopped it from working.

Found a handy youtube video about adjusting the drag-link so got out in the snow and mud to adjust that and had to disconnect battery to clear the code. Steering wheel is back to center, the code is clear and everything functions great.

I have a bit of a write-up on this on my blog at vagabondexpedition.com

Put the Mopar fuel door on...those silver screws need painted.

Installed door hinge locks.

Crawled around under it just to familiarize myself with it.
Yup, I sprayed mine black before installing them. Also took care of the chrome antenna...all I have left is the lock cylinders. I'm probably going to powder coat those so they'll last.

Did you use plasti dip or paint? I'm thinking I can pull the screws out, plasti dip them and put them back in.
For the fuel door bolts, I sandblasted them and them rattle can flat paint. For the antenna, I sanded it really good with scotch pads, and also rattle can. For the lock cylinders, I'll blast them and then I'll powder coat them. I love powder coating, the only problem is that the part has to fit into my oven. I personally don't like plastidipping. Powder coating is easy and lots of fun. It's a lot easier and cheaper than you think to DIY.

edit: if you don't have access to a blaster, just scratch up the fuel door bolts up pretty good and clean them...then rattle can them.

I'll have to do some digging on powder coating.

For my antennae, I just replaced it with a stubby.

LOL. You could have unzipped the rear one and jump in.

BTW, I don't lock my Jeep with the soft top on. Learned that lesson long ago when someone cut into the convertible top to steal my cassette tapes.

I think I am going to use high temp flat black paint that they use on BBQ pits and such. I have been thinking of doing my antenna and muffler.

I painted my muffler with high temp BBQ grill paint and it looks a lot better. I had a lot of paint left and instead of paying for a stubby antenna I painted my stock one. It looks great and I didn't have to worry about possible radio reception issues with a stubby antenna.

Eastwood sells a nice starter kit that works very well. For the oven, you can look on CL for cheap or free one. You can also buy one of those over the counter ovens for the smaller parts. The hardest part is making sure the parts are cleaned/degreased. Get the kit and oven and practice with pieces of metal.

I did that for awhile then I removed the axle back. Then I replaced the mid resonator with a flowmaster 40.
