Every other section has this stickied so I thought I would start one. Forgive me if its in there already but I could not find it.
Anyway here's what I did.
After removing the different cover for a routine fluid change I decided to paint the cover, it needed a little touching up so I thought I would go ahead and paint it red. I already had some farm equipment paint on hand, I'm pretty sure it will hold up to any temps that might be reached.

Found out how much of a hassle rain is (and how heavy doors are) when your garage is full of other stuff and you need to go from buck naked to fully buttoned up.

I also see why people don't bother to put the screws back in the doors.
I put mine on in October and take them out in May. I am frankly surprised I haven't lost one yet.

Removed the chrome JEEP logo from the front of the hood. Have the black Mopar logo ready to go on, but now think I might like the clean look of leaving it off better. I can't believe how much time goes into thinking about upgrades, no matter how small, lol............

I was going to paint the one on my old jeep. But like you I liked it better just plain. And it's an obsession. Lol looks good.

Could really have used a pre-8 am Smartie fix.
Buy a couple of cases yourself and toss them out of your doorless jeep Monday. If someone questions you, act indignant and loudly proclaim its what Jesus would do!

I keep my half doors on in the rear... but as someone else warned here on the forums, they once came out of the grocery store to find their jeep stripped of its doors. Ouch.

I think the only way they could be stripped is if someone leaves the doors unlocked. If they are shut and locked, there really isn't a way to get them out of the hinges...I think...

in the last few weeks since buying my new JKU
- doors off, body armor tube doors on
- hard top off - bikini top on
- trek armor seat covers - front and rear
- ebay seat heaters - front and back (these things rock - $100 all 4 seats!)
- welcome distributing grab handles - front and rear
- kicker speaker replacement
- molle tailgate fold down table
- black JEEP logo
- mesh grill inserts
- stubby antenna
- mirror relocation brackets
- dead pedal
- new hood latches
- maglites on the seats
- underseat lockbox

so i've done all the easy and relatively cheap stuff, now it's time for lift and tires/wheels, then bumpers, rockers & winch. and then lockers and air, and then new axles/gears and then whatever else i can replace. eventually i will have a complete spare original jeep sport in pieces by the side of the house!
