Expect about 10% off list unless they are doing rebates etc., on a straight no trade deal.

We did fine because they were having employee pricing at the time which knocked off about 15% before we started dealing.

2008 2-door Sahara plus power group & Infinity sound and autotrans.
Invoice minus 1% plus $75 minus $750 manufacturer-back money; I work for JCI and we get the family discount.

I went to a dealership in NNJ the other day to look at a Sahara. Sticker was about $30k - they only knocked off $1k, plus the $1K in Jeep incentives.

I was very surprised. I bought my Grand Cherokee from them 8 years ago (which I still have). No idea why their pricing was so high on the JK.

Would love to hear from other people in NNJ too....

Sdesort... ask them about the loyalty program as well. Not sure if it is still going, but being that you are a Jeep owner, you get an additional discount.
The market has changed since I bought 3 months ago (I bought when Chrysler was in bankruptcy). I have a buddy that has been trying to buy a Jeep for the last month and he cannot get either: A) The type of Jeep that he wants. B) A deal on the existing inventory.
It's good for us current owners... as our depreciation will be much less. But it sucks for people looking for a deal.

Supply and demand. A Jeep is always hot property. I can't believe some Jeep dealers come off sticker. My dealer almost never has a Jeep on the lot and they always bring top dollar where I live.

The Wrangler, yes... the other Jeep products, not so much.

I have to agree, they will probably be willing to work with you some but a wrangler will sell itself.

I just got mine Saturday.. 2009 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited "loaded".. Sticker was $30,790 inflated to $35,450, and I walked for $28,000.. I feel good about it.. Also, for the first time in my life I actually purchased the Chrysler extended warranty which give her a lifetime unlimited warranty..

got mine in nnj in february for 18k.
played one dealer over the other (felt screwed by the 1st dealer, so i totally enjoyed doing this). they also gave me a grand for my 190k mile ford explorer with no 4 wheel drive, whereas the 1st dealer wanted to just 'take it off my hands'.

i got the basic x package. no extras, and a six speed.

brought the side tubes from ebay for a hundred, upgraded to new tires and rims (cragers on bfg's) and i was all set.

You should never put any stock in a "What did you pay thread". People tend to exaggerate, to put it kindly, how good a deal they got.

2009 Sahara Unlimited, freedom top, complete mopar package, 3.73 axel, SIRIUS, etc. $30,400 (after some haggling) in NNJ. Hard to get breaks on Wranglers (especially now with the cars-for-clunkers boost that's cleared out inventories). I bought mine the day before the CFC started... glad I didn't have a clunker to get rid of. When I bought mine, they had 10 Sahara Unlimiteds on the lot, plus a bunch of X's. Basically haggled it down to where the out-the-door cost came in around MSRP (including 6-year bumper to bumper). Don't know where you are in NNJ, but I got mine from the one on Rt. 46 in Totowa (or Little Falls... not sure where the border is there). They were cool... I spent 35 minutes on the lot comparing all the Saharas and no one bothered me until I walked into the building. Plus, the do all the financing on the floor... none of that "I have to go talk to my manager" BS.
