I've been shopping the local dealers here in South Carolina. I'm trying to get 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport (3.73 and A/C). I'm trying to get it for $20.5K before tax/tag/title. MSRP is $24.5K I have the supplier 1% under but that's only like $23.5k. I don't qualify for any other incentives. Do you think it's possible?

I know I'm pushing it but I figure why not.

MSRP $32,980 (JKU with 24S, max tow, anti-spin diff, auto trans., alpine stereo, black hard top)
My price was $30,539 (about 4% under invoice)

Seems like as you go up in models to the Sahara and Rubicon, the discounts get bigger but for the Sport the mark up is less hence what seems like less of a discount in comparison.

You will probably find a low end Sahara is about the same price as a higher end sport s. if you plan on modding the Sport S is probably the better deal. If I had to do it again, I might would have priced out a Sport S. I'm pretty happy with the Sahara though.

Man this thread is making me happy. I'm hopefully gonna be trading in my 2012 ram 1500 on a 2013 rubicon unlimited by years end but I always thought wranglers had no rebates due to demand, but I was proven wrong tonight. Sweet!

I don't know about rebates. When I ordered last week there were no rebates but I was able to use affiliate pricing and get about 2% under invoice on my 2 door Rubicon. $37K MSRP I got it for about $33.8K.

ClemsonWiil Check internet pricing at BigO dodge. I bought a 2013 Rubi for 4% below invoice. I did not buy from Big O but they were very competitive.

I am looking at ordering a Wrangler to my specifications (None on any lot in the US according to the dealers I have been using to test drive etc). I will be ordering a 2013 Sport S with the following options:

Option MSRP (FWP)
Dual Top Group 2,185 (1945)
Alpine 395 (352)
Deep Tint 395 (352)
Power Convenience 895 (797)
Connectivity 495 (441)
Trailer Tow 295 (263)
Sirius 195 (174)
3.73 Rear Axle 195 (174)

Total Price 30,640 (29,274)

I am being pretty picky and making sure that I get exactly what I want in my first Wrangler (well what I want AND in my budget that is…), I am not being very successful in getting any price knocked off of the Factory Wholesale price. Any suggestions?

I am walking in with no trade in and a blank check. I am military so I will get the $500 off the FWP making the final sale price $28,774.

Looking for some advice as a first time Jeep buyer, any advice would be appreciated and I hope to be throwing a pic of the new ride on the forum soon.

Snarus: Just bought a Jeep Sport S - Unlimited (first jeep). I wanted a similar config as you but settled for as close as they could find. There are so many 3rd party options you can easily add yourself later I ordered one with everything I thought would be a PITA to add later.
Regarding pricing.....basically I call it a decent deal if my "out the door price....taxes, plate, fees, whatever" is slightly below MSRP. There is some fun in playing one dealer against the other (and this technique will get you a better deal) but I just don't have time for it any more.

What did you pay for the Max care warranty? Did you get it from your local dealer or online?

Thanks.

The windows sticker is $39,055 MSRP.
Dealer Invoice is $36,633
The price I paid was $35,366

The deal I was able to negotiate works out to 9.4% below MSRP. I probably could have done a little better but I am happy about this deal.

According to TrueCar.com (which I highly recommend) the average person is paying $37,017 for this vehicle...

Seems like it all depends on the dealer you choose... It is true that most will not wiggle too far from MSRP though, largely dependent on the dealer, their volume and your salesperson...

I'm a little new and I guess I am missing the information somewhere. How are you all knowing the invoice price to be able to determine they are XYZ% below invoice?

Replacing wife's 1997 Wrangler for her Bday next week, she doesn't know!

There is NOT AN ORANGE JEEP FOR SALE IN MINNESOTA THAT ISN'T A RUBICON OR MOAB FOR LESS THAN 44K! wtf.

Driving 400 miles to get this one on Monday: (told her I am going to help the old man at his cabin - free pass!)
Model: Unlimited Sahara Orange
Options: 24G
Front Side Air Bags: $495 (very hard to find an Orange one with this)
Black 3 Piece Hard Top: $795 (wife didn't like the all Orange)
18 inch x 7.5 Spoke Polished: $695
Remote Start: $495
MSRP: $35,725
Purchase price $32,799
Discounts: Negotiation
Final price with tax title and license:35,946

Notes to share: I wanted to get the Sport (has black top, usually dual top, and black fenders), but they aren't available in Orange anymore, getting very hard to get. I went to order one, and the Orange was only an early run I guess? So I decided to get the Sahara and going to order Bushwackers to replace the Orange fenders. Also happy about the upgrades the Sahara has over the Sport. Probably add leather seats somewhere down the road.

It is also a plus it has bling wheels, she isn't huge on bling, but she will be excited about this. Also going to order some other bling pieces to put on it (gas cap, rear light covers, mirror covers). I am a black accessory person, and she hates that stuff, so we disagree on that, but it is HER jeep, not MINE!

The 18s look nice with the stock tires, but I plan on adding 35s or something similar next year - just need to research more about it. Looks like I will need the standard 2.5 lift and spacers. So when these tires wear down, or just before next winter (if this one ever ends) will do the upgrade to suspension and tires. Follow up with an exhaust upgrade for her bday next year. geez, you would think it was my Jeep!

If it was me, and my Jeep, it would be the Oscar Mike, damn those look good!

Anyway, will add a picture when I pick it up.

i'm sure you mean TOLL Brothers...
anyway...that discount isn't really all its cracked up to be..all it really does is get you the Jeep at Invoice cost without haggling..
But as i'm sure you may have seen on the forum..it's not uncommon to get a Jeep at 1-3% under invoice..some are holdiing out 'til they see 4% or better below invoice..
I'm a Toll employee..and i didn't get my Jeep from Reedman...i wanted to order my Jeep..i contacted the dealer we bought my wife's G.C. Limited from 2 summers ago AND i contacted Toll..The Toll salesman gave me a song and dance about not being able to order "at this time" so I went to the other guy.. I got my Jeep at about 2% under invoice (MSRP $34,455 Paid $31,500 +Taxes and fees) and i got 3 years free oil changes..Top shelf UNLIMITED MILEAGE warranty at cost..and they got me 2.2% financing for 5 years..

with all that being said IF you got a 44K Rubi for 36K..you did well...very well
ESPECIALLY if you got that all Black one they had up there about a month ago...matching top and fenders, with the Brown leather seats...MAN that thing was SWEET ! ! !

Hi HRPinDC,
Did anything further develop regarding the possibility of getting 7% off invoice on Wranglers at that northern VA dealership? Thanks.

From the UK - I'll include the $ amount for a laugh.

  • 2013 JKU Overland Commando Green
  • No options but comes with colour top, SatNav, heated leather and 18" wheels
  • £33,085 ($51,500)
  • £26,950 ($41,900)
  • $10,000 military discount
Ordered in March, not in the UK until Jun.

Hey Fulltime-

The deal has been inked and is good to go. I am working with them right now to find the Jeep I want. PM me if you want specifics as I've been scolded for talking about this openly.
