2013 Unlimited Sahara, auto, 3.73, anti spin, connectivity, max tow, auto air, heated seats, 3 piece hard top, remote start.
What city/state did you purchase in? Cash or finance? Well done, that is more than 10% off MSRP if OTD includes tax/title/license. Correct?

This is NOT a done deal yet, but I put a $500 deposit on it last night anyways...It just seems a little too good to be true (I did, on the other hand, put a lot of work into this deal). I will report back one way or the other.

NO TRADE, pre approved financing, but will give them a shot at it.

2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara
Commando Green
Black Saddle Interior
6 Speed Manual
Connectivity Group
Paint Matched Top
3.73
Limited Slip Diff
Automatic air conditioning
430 GPS

MSRP $36,360

Dealer agreed to swap the Paint Matched Top for a Black Hard Top. He is going to increase the price of the other Jeep and lower the price on this one:

Adjusted MSRP $35,560

Dealer added Katzkin Leather aftermarket (Dealer's "MSRP" was $1395)

Adjusted MSRP $36,995

Less $500 Military Discount $36,455

Agreed price is $31,500 + $279 Doc fee

So, Out the door of the dealership before taxes and registration (I will pay that out of pocket) I am walking away at $31,779.

My math says this is 14% below MSRP or a little over 6% below Invoice (not including $500 mil discount)

Pretty good deal.. My 2013 Sahara listed for 37115.00 and I paid 33115.00 for it..no taxes because my trade was worth more than the Jeep. I got a little money back that went to mods. Dealer fees were only a couple of hundred bucks.

Is Invoice the price before options are added (top left corner of window sticker)? Then, MSRP is all included options (bottom right) ?

No. Invoice includes options and is nowhere on the window sticker, it has to be researched. Top left is the starting msrp of that trim level before options

If you go to KBB, it will show you invoice prices. My math showed that invoice on just about every factory option was a 10% markup (give or take a half percent). Somewhere there is a very handy spreadsheet floating around that is a great tool. I think if you google "2013 JKU Spread Sheet" it should come up. Some of the prices have increased slightly, so you may need to do a little tweaking, but all the math is there for figuring in dealer cash and holdback.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport S in True Blue Pearl

-Customer preferred package 24 S
-5 Speed Auto Trans -
-Power Convenience Group
-Connectivity Package w/Uconnect
-Satellite radio
-Tow Package
-3.73 Rear Axle Ratio
-Anti Spin Rear Differential
-Deep Tinted Windows (unnecessary since I plan on having the top off more than on!)
-Soft Top
-Crystal Fusion Windshield treatment (dealer put it on & added to the price)

There were less than 8 of this color with this trim in a 500 mile radius of us (Tampa). We drove 130 miles as they had it for the best price (and with even more options that I wanted/needed...but now glad that I have).

Total MSRP (including destination fee): $32,285, Final price agreed to: $26,600.
Out the door - tax, tags, etc. $28,200

Tag price was $39,950. I'm walking out, taxes, fees the works at $33,000. (as soon as buddy decides to show up and sign!)

But long story short
It still sounds like you got a pretty decent price!

I had a couple of e-mail exchanges with a sales representative I met today. He has a 2013 Sahara Unlimited fully equipped, that the sales manager drove for a couple of months this year. (very low kms / mileage). They have it up at 36500. I told him I could basically take any of his 8 remaining 2013 Saharas he still has on his lot, and negotiate it down to invoice - Consumer bonus, so about 35000$. So I offered him 32-33 000 for his "demo/used" Sahara... and he scoffed at me and told me no, and made me feel like a complete idiot. Then he had the nerve to tell me he could definitely offer me his new Wranglers for about 35000 though if I'm interested.

I was hoping for a deal on the used one, I'm frustrated. I wonder if I should just show up and step into the sales manager's office and not this sales rep. Any advice?

At another dealership they're offering me a Dune Sahara Unlimited fully equipped, brand new, for 34500, + taxes. List price was at 41000 originally- and I can't get a used Sahara unlimited equally equipped for less?

Other thing that grinds my gears: Yes, I understand that I'm 24 years old and I come in looking young. He tells me he could finance it on 8 years if I'm having a hard time with the price. 1. I don't need your financing, I have the money, but 2. Even if I did need the financing, please don't talk down to me like I'm a child. Not to mention I work in a bank as a financial adviser.

My first big dream car purchase- going horribly wrong...

Sorry about the delay. I bought from Bob Howard Jeep. Their sticker was $26,700, which they claimed was already 'reduced' MSRP was $27,900. TrueCar was saying the their average deal was 25,700.

I would recommend Bob Howard, but I hear their shop has crappy reviews. I would avoid David Stanley, unless you want to be talked down to and have your car keys held hostage while trying to leave.

Bought in Paola, KS. I financed with my local CU, so basically cash. That included TTL. Great dealership-New Century Dodge Jeep..small town=great service and pricing. It was worth the little 30 min drive.

2011 JK sport 2 door auto. Factory everything no major up grades in it. No nav system or anything like that. Internet price was like 24k, final price 19k bigger key for me is how much my monthly payment is going to be and I got the Jeep for 100 bucks less then what I was paying before. I got lucky on this Jeep I really wasn't ready to buy one but it was 2 weeks before Christmas and the dealer was needing business and wanting to get rid of vehicles but when they first showed me the numbers I started to get up and leave because based on what they were offering wasn't even close and the guy asked me why I was leaving and I told him when they get ready to deal on the Jeep ill come back. lol they didn't like that to much and got the assistant general manager to talk to me, when I saw them get him I knew they could let that jeep go for a lot less. 5 hours later I had the jeep and I didn't leave to much on the table they didnt loose money on that jeep but they sure didnt make much either. Now it sits in my garage stays clean and only comes out when its sunny. :-). It's my GQ, Garage Queen.

2013 JK Rubicon MSRP 32485.00 out the door for 28700.00. The only thing missing that I would have ordered is heated seats- other than that, just perfect.

Beaker17, I'd roll on. There's always another dealer somewhat close by. I'm north of Minneapolis, talking with dealers in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois on my potential purchase. I'll make a drive if I have to for the right deal, and so should you. 21 or 61, youre the customer, and better be treated with respect. Your money can easily be spent elsewhere. No harm in asking for the manager, GM or another salesperson either. If you buy from them in the end, they're desperately seeking a positive survey after the sale. If you make a mgr aware of your current unhappiness, things will turn quick I'd bet. The new car sales depts need positive surveys. Less important for a used purchase.

Keep in mind that attitude they took on a used purchase and the price they're seeking, these things hold their value. Maybe that's enough reason to buy new?

A good dealer could trade with another if this other place has the exact model you're seeking. I just worked a deal for my wife, pitting 5 Honda dealers throughout town against one another, and got the exact car she wanted at a monthly price about $15 less per month than I ever thought we would get. Don't be afraid to fudge your numbers and state another dealer is willing to sell at x% under invoice. Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.
Good luck.

Cause your managers know they can screw you and make you believe your getting a good deal because you won't really try to argue with your actually bosses about price

Then give me some insight because I figure that I work here and make them plenty of money to damn near give me all of it.. Problem is that I can't go to another dealership and purchase because If i show up with a Jeep that I bought else where... Well might as well get a box.
