I got my 2012 Unlimited Sahara at $500 under invoice with a 2.99 APR. No haggle just showing my Costco card. 730 Navi, body color hardtop, connectivity and auto trans.

Too much apparently.

I shouldn't open threads like this. Oh well, I guess you can't pay too much for fun, amiright?

Actually, I didn't do too bad. Mine was MSRP $34,9XX IIRC and I got it for $32,7XX and 2.1% APR through BofA. Not terrible.

They won't go below the invoice price, not without a huge fight, cause there will be no kick-backs from the manufacturer. Also, another benefit of Affiliate Rewards (Treadlightly) is that they put a cap on how much they can charge you for paperwork, this may not matter in some states like here in CA, cause we have regulations on it, but at other states, these fees can get higher and often used against you to make you feel like you got a deal, and then they slam it back on you with $500 for paperwork!. This is really, almost the best deal you can get, with almost no effort, and still walk out winning and the dealer is happy. With a little more work, you can even get a little more off, up to 2% below invoice I hear. Not worth my time, personally, to get an extra 1% off and the dealer makes almost nothing. But, really, I just don't get why we have these threads when things can be this clear cut.
Because you took all your valuable time to explain what a pointless thread this is, I thought I would take a little time to explain what I think about your post.

This is a forum filled with posts; some are really useful, some not so much. Some repeat other posts that have already been made, some are totally original. Some are off the wall, some are just down right strange.

The great thing about being a member here is that you are in no way obligated to post in every thread you come across. They did not make you sign any contract saying you must post. So, you have the freedom to peek inside a thread, say to yourself, "self, that is a useless thread", and just move on.

I did not want to go join some program and do this or that to get my jeep, I just wanted to find what I wanted, skip all the useless BS, and get a good deal. I shopped around and talked to many dealers I found online in different cities. When I came across this place in Houston they gave me what I think is a great deal without ANY negotiating, any tread lightly program, or any BS. I am in Egypt right now and bought it over the internet. So, if someone else in the Houston area (or has the means of going to pick it up in Houston), wants to buy a Jeep, now they can look at this useless thread and say, "hey, I will go there".

Or, it could just be another useless, fun thread for people to post something about their jeep

I agree with pprice72

I am active duty serving overseas and haven't seen the US in more than 2 year. I grew up a toyota owner (corolla, celica, rav4). I have never driven a Jeep. I have never seen Dozer, Crush, flame red, gecko, cosmos blue, etc in person. I have never met any stateside salesman in person, never shook their hands, have no clue what they look like or even if the dealership has more than 10 cars.

With that said, I am taking a leap of faith and am about to purchase a $30,000 vehicle without a test-drive or even laying eyes on the color I am going to order. I just joined this forum a few weeks ago and need all the information/education I can get. From differences between models, prices, modifications, soft top vs dual top, options, stereo, colors . . . I need all the info I can get. Every little information is useful, and I'd be a fool if I didn't spend days/weeks on jeep forums researching the Wrangler.

And I can guarantee you, at some point, someone, somewhere in the world will look at this thread and say "thank goodness for a post that compares different purchasing prices that will give me a better understanding of Jeep pricing."

2011 Loaded Sport:

Sticker $32,400
Paid: $28,400

River Oaks Jeep in Houston, about the only dealership for 400 miles which will come off the price. If you plan to use this dealership, contact me directly and I'll tell you how to go about it. I've bought 2 here and my brother bought one.

Paid CAD$28,000 6 months ago, brand new 2011 2 door auto dual top Rubicon. $7000 discount. 3 from Jeep + 4 from the dealer. Stars aligned, end of the month, end of the day, end of the production run, show room model, long time dealer customer. DID NOT WANT. But took it. Just traded in for a 2012 at no real dollar loss to me. Nothing wrong with it at all. Just the transmission gear spacing is not acceptable to me.

Sounds like a good deal, it's insane what used Jeeps sell for in my area

Example:

2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport - $25,000
Mileage: 131,538

2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon - $24,988
Mileage: 96,648

I paid $27300ish for my 2012 JKUS. The only option I wanted was the locking rear dif and the 3.73 gearing. I think the sticker price was somewhere around $31,000.

I used the USAA car buying service which seemed to really give me a great deal on the price. The dealer didn't even haggle, just took the pricing certificate as printed. I got 0% financing as well.

The best part of the deal, to me at least, was that I wanted to instantly change out the tires for Duratracs. I didn't want the hassle of selling the Goodyears, so the dealer offered to buy them for $400 (I kept one as the spare). They also ordered and then mounted/balanced/updated TPMS for the Duratracs on my Rugged Ridge wheels as part of the purchase. I felt that was a solid deal, and saved me tons of hassle on selling the Goodyears as well as a couple hundred $$$ based on what I would have paid at a tire shop to have them installed.

Overall, great buying experience.

Unlimited Rubicon in Gecko (still waiting for it...)
MSRP of $39965
$33590 (all fees included) + taxes
13% sales tax sucks.

Yeah, got an awesome deal with this dealer... Spending the time to look around paid off.

Welcome to Canada, eh?
Pretty high in every province, except for Alberta at 5% And apparently I would end up having to pay the additional tax on it if I bought it there, drove it back and licensed it here. Do you think they'll give me my 8% back if I move there?

Here's the deal I just got on 3/24 from Papa's Dodge in New Britain, CT.

My Rig: custom order 2-Door Rubicon, BFG w/ 3-piece Hard Top, body matching top and flares, full power, connectivity, black heated leather, tow, and supp. airbags, smoker's group, etc. etc.

Dealer incentives: Simoniz clear coat, free tires for life, 0% for 36 mo.

MSRP = $36,960
Paid = $34,560 OTD

Initially I drove an hour to a dealership that I heard good things about, and was this close *puts two fingers together* to making a deal, but they wouldn't budge $25/mo lower on their payment. We walked out after 2 hours, and boy am I glad I did!

Papa's Dodge is 5 minutes from my house. Went there the next day and told them we had a deal on the table at another dealer, and I told Papa's that I wanted to give their dealership an opportunity to "earn my business," because they were local, in my community, coombayah, etc. etc. I was there for 10 minutes, and my guy came back with an offer. His first offer completely blew me away, it was about $75/mo less than the original deal I was trying to negotiate at the other place. It couldn't have worked out any better.

Apparently, Papa's is the highest volume Jeep dealer in CT so they are just interested in moving another unit. Overall, I'm happy with the deal and the rig I ordered, so that's all that matters.

Good luck with yours!

~cheers

2 weeks ago I bought a 2012 Unlimited Rubicon. It had a MSRP of $37070 invoice of $34713 I bought it under invoice at $33400. If my math is correct this is about 3.5% under invoice? No programs just negotiations. I bought it in the Orlando area where there are quite a few dealers to shop around.

I live in Colorado too--I never had bought new until I got my Wrangler--no sense in buying a used Jeep when you can get a new one for about the same price! (within 2-4k)

Colorado loves Jeeps!

MSRP $29,815
--USAA sale price is $28,105 (after Military rebate) or $27,605 (if you get the USAA rebate).

With Dual Top -MSRP--$31,440 ----USAA sale price is $29,551 (after Miltary rebate) or $29,051 (if you get the USAA rebate).

Well, my military dealer is willing to meet the price and beat it by $300

So it'll be 27,305 with soft-top

I dunno, I've never test driven one, there's no dozer color on site, and I'd have to order soon because I'll be out of pocket soon.

That sounds like a pretty good deal, I'm assuming it's a 2 door? If you are getting the auto make sure it has the transmission cooler. I dunno if they are standard equipment yet, but they should be.
