What do you like (and dislike) most about your Jeep?

As a new Jeep owner I love my commando green rig. It's a big beautiful beast that's a blast to drive, both on and off road.

But last night I was out in the garage doing some work on it and noticed that I...

Like:
How nearly every surface of my Jeep can be used as a work table. I have my tools on the fender, my drink on the bumper, all my parts and manuals in the bed, shop rags over the doors... it's all utility top to bottom.

Dislike:
How the stock engine is quiet. My Jeep is like this big tank that sounds like a Honda. But my wife's Armada roars to a start just like a truck. What gives?

I like everything about my Jeep, I dislike those who are so envious and stop me all over to ask about it (get your own, as much as I like talking about my Jeep I am as busy as most and don't get paid to spend hours talking to strangers about it). That being said, like most Jeep owners I have plans to continue to modify my Jeep for decades to come. It's not about disliking anything, it's simply about liking other things and having the pleasure of having one of the most after market friendly vehicles on the planet (and probably the entire galaxy).

If I could be totally objective here:

like

Open air driving
Ride quality
Manual trans
Able to pull the carpet/get dirty
MPG (coming from getting 6mpg, it's a dream.)
Can start vehicle in 4lo without the clutch
Real easy to shift without the clutch
Offroad ability
Solid axel

dislike

Have to do stuff to fit 35s
No lockers
No room
3k LB towing max
Not real kid friendly
Can we at least have stock 4.10s?
17s
Can't haul anything besides people
Seats are uncomfortable
No stock UCP (really?)
Tire carrier sucks.

Will have to look into an intake. I wanted headers but learned that only pre '11 motors are compatible. Thought about an exhaust system too but haven't looked into them yet.

Damn, I love talking about my Jeep. I could talk Jeeps for hours.

I actually really like when people approach me with questions / complements.

Only dislike I have with my Jeep is that I wish I'd have gotten a Rubicon instead.

You should have gotten a JKUR and that would have taken care of all of your dislikes besides 35's and tire carrier.

Likes: Top and doors come off
Ability to go almost anywhere
Manual trans.
Availability of Mods

Dislikes: No diesel option in North America
Fuel mileage isn't great but I didn't buy it for that

Dislike the plastic parts within the steel bumpers of my JKR10A.

1 of the plastic fog light shrouds is already dented!

Likes: Most everything. Looks, power, capability, ability to mod, love the JKU, I could go on. I'm impressed with the fit and finish, especially on the inside, after driving a couple of TJ's.

Dislikes: Doors won't stay open and the fenders aren't flat like my TJ so I lost a place to set my beer. I could complain about some other things but I expect the stock stereo to suck, plastic bumpers, etc. I'd rather have that than pay for "nice" stuff I'll be replacing anyway.

Dislike the water leak, comes in the drivers door right on my left knee. I mean, its ~$40 rig, if they can make a convertible with a piece of cloth for a roof water proof, they should certainly make a hard top Jeep not leak.

Likes: almost everything

Dislikes:
-auto off headlights should be standard.
-softop should have come with window storage bag
-no excuse for the radio to suck this much. Mediocre would be understandable, but this one is barely bearable.

One thing that really bugs the crap out of me is the texture (and maybe it's partially the type of plastic) of the interior door handle surrounds and the center console top. They scuff at the tiniest touch, unlike, say, the top of the dash and such. Gee, let's make the two areas that see frequent use as markable as possible.

The handle surrounds especially, mine look like some freaked out, rabid cat went crazy on them.....

Yeah put a CAI and Dual exhaust and that engine will roar.

I like chip I just bought most for my Jeep I highly recommend them! For that added Torque and Horsepower.

I dislike most how I dont have it lifted yet I need to get that done asap 😁👍

Which side of the tire will I focus on? The white wall or black wall?

Likes:
The ridiculous amount of options for modding.
Shifting into 4 wheel drive in the winter and passing up traffic.
Small turn radius
I know this isn't a popular one, but I really like the way the dash looks.
The 3.6L engine is pretty stout and pushes my brick down the road nicely!
Very easy to disassemble almost everything.
Talking with other jeepers or those interested in becoming one.
The wave

Dislikes:
Wish I would have just ordered my JK instead of taking what was on the lot, but the journey of building it up to what I want is fun anyway. Pricing out a new set of 3.73's... not so much!
How much for a HEMI?
Warranties. They're a love, hate relationship.
Leaky top. Right on top of my radio and all over my arm rest.
Not having the excuse of missing work due to the weather.
No Wave!

If it wasn't for the crappy CAN bus/computer system, my '13 JKU would be dang near perfect!

How about better transfer case, no reason a NV242 FT case could not be used. would be much better in snow/wet/dry situations in fall and spring and save one from having to shift in and out of 4PT.

Instead of trac loc with clutch packs which wear out and cir clips which fall out and trash the diff, why not use the varilocks in them or offer as option.

sad part is these are off the shelf items they designed years ago and development cost would be nothing!

They aren't headrests anymore, they are whip flash protection devices might want to turn it around
