Assuming the AC head on the 3.6 represents a real fix, what other doom are you referring to?

Dislikes: Headlights and removing the hard top. Always need a helping hand.

Dislike: rear view being blocked by head rests (I know there's a mod), spare tire, windshield wiper electronics box.

'13 JKU Sahara. Offroad capability is a blast.

Do not like the rear seat. Too vertical and not able to adjust easily and for a four door it makes sense it should be expected to be better.

Regarding your rear headrests. I just pushed in on the side clips and pulled mine out and yes you will have much better rear vision.

2012 JK 2 door. Love lots and most covered...makes me feel like a kid...headed on an adventure.

Back seat does need help. Have not taken it out..yet.

Does anyone else think the manual transmission reverse is geared extremely high? Back out of my garage and just seems like I am going way too fast at idle. Have to ride the brake. Not a big deal.

Love my Jeep. Wanted it since I rode with Grandpa in his Willys. He is smiling somewhere!

Do you know how to disable it completely on a 08?

Don't have an 08 but it should be the same (copied & pasted from another thread):

The following procedure will disable (or re-enable) ESP functionality in the vehicle:
1. Shift the transfer case into the 4H range position.
2. Turn the steering wheel until it is centered and the wheels are pointed straight ahead.
3. Cycle the ignition key OFF to ON.
4. Wait approximately five seconds for the system bulb check.
5. Turn and hold the steering wheel one-half turn to the right (clockwise).
6. Press and hold the ESP OFF button for seven seconds.
7. Turn the steering wheel back to center, and turn and hold an additional one-half turn to the left
(counter clockwise).
8. Press and hold the ESP OFF button for seven seconds.
9. Turn the steering wheel back to center.
10. Press and hold the ESP OFF button for seven seconds.
11. Cycle the ignition key to OFF.
After performing the ESP disable procedure correctly, “ESP OFF” will be displayed in the odometer for
approximately 12 seconds each time the ignition is moved to ON. Repeating the ESP disable procedure will
re-enable normal ESP operation.

Are you kidding me! Is this a joke? There is no way in hell this is the way. Do you need to get out and do a fusion moon walk/rain dance also?

It actually is. Just pressing the button only partially disables ESP. It'll still kick in if you, say, do a donut. This will fully disable it. You could also instal the switch that kills ABS and ESP at the same time. That may be easier but you have to turn the car off and on to get those features back

This happen the other day when it was raining really hard, I thought it was the roof but couldn't find the leak anywhere. Then I looked at the bottom where the water was, and it was right by the feet area. I think it could be the door sill entry guards that's creating a space for the water to come in, definitely wasn't the roof.

It does not. If you have a manual & not an auto a kill switch will work though.

I think the Armadillo set doesn't require drilling any holes.

Edit: Yep, no drilling: http://www.quadratec.com/products/13029_301X_PG.htm

I like the versatility of the vehicle first and foremost, it can do anything I want while having fun doing it, I have a Ram pickup that will haul if cargo space ever is an issue.

My down side is that I would like better brakes in it, that may end up being a mod down the road.

Suit yourself, but it sure is nice on windy days and in tight parking spaces.

My favs are the way it looks, feels, drives and the toughness off road.
Not to like: Headlights, lack of room in the back of the JK and poor passenger access, door straps, flat windshield (I'm on number 3 ), lack of radiator protection- all small stuff except the windshield. MPG around town, but knew that going in.

I have a new 2013 2-door Rubicon with the hard top. I don't like that the rear hatch doesn't easily detach so I can have that open without the glass being up (would that have been so hard to do?)
I also would like to have the rear side glass have a slider to open so, if somebody rides back there, they aren't trapped like rats in a fishbowl with no air/opening to the outside (would that have been so hard to do?)
I don't normally have anybody back there (that's why I didn't get the unlimited) but my dog (who is always back there) would like to stick his head out.
I love the new Rubi tan leather interior. Easy to keep clean (doesn't soak up dust like the cloth) and beautifully shaped and stiched.
I dislike the Nav. The Garmin function is ok but my $200 Nuvi has a 100% better screen display. Not money well spent in my opinion.
I love the new 3.6 engine. I have the auto with 4.10 gearing. I had a 2011 sport and hated the engine so much I couldn't stand it.
I added a cold air intake and exhaust to the 3.6 and just have to shake my head when I think about what a pos that 3.8 was. This thing is a rocket by comparison!

Well, my two cents after being in a TJ for 11 years, a YJ for 7 before that, and a couple of others before that:

Likes:
  • 3.6L engine paired with the sweet 5 speed auto and 4.10 axle ratio. Makes it a blast to drive...and if I stand on it, it takes OFF. It's the first auto trans that I have ever owned and I love it. There, I said it.
  • Luxury features - power locks/windows/mirrors, heated seats, sat radio, remote start, steering wheel controls, UConnect, etc. I love jeeps and have been driving them most of my life, but had started to lust after the features my wife and daughter have in their vehicles. Now I have the best of both worlds.

Dislikes:
  • Rear seat access in my 2 door JKR. Absolutely sucks compared to my TJ.

I have others, but those are the big ones.

Like: it's not just some "car", it has proven to be so much more than just transportation for my family and me. Love the basic nature of it, love the changeability of it...is changeability a word? Is now

Dislikes: that I work in the ghetto and park on the street in the city, hence requiring a hardtop. Have actually found the hardtop to be quite practical though, and it still comes off so no big.
