what does Employee Pricing @fields offer?

Unfortunately our Fields is closed today. I had called last week to get a quote on a 2012 JKU Sport. I have not joined Tread Lightly as I just found out about it from cruising this forum. I see they are offering employee pricing now. How much below invoice would that be? The jeep I am looking at is an MSRP of $31,820. Invoice says $30,516 on KBB. I know the Affiliate program gives 1% below invoice, but what does the employee pricing give? And I'm really confused on whether the doc fee (either the dealer doc fee or state) is what is charged in addition to the affiliate program. In FL the dealer fees are insanely high. Many are up to $899 plus another $199 doc fee.

Thanks!

I think ep pricing is about 5% below invoice. I think Fields in Florida charges $600 for doc fees if I remember right.

Doc fees are such a load of crap, Florida is another state that does not get regulated by the government so they can charge whatever they want, and thats why they are so high here (Florida). The dealerships do this so they can lure you in with a attractive price, and then screw you with the doc fees. Any doc fee thats over 100 dollars, is just pure profit for them, so negotiate even lower to cover this cost.

wow and i thought the doc fees around me were HIGH !
Some Dealers were $290, others were $180 but the one
I used was $150. That being said I went in with an offer
price that INCLUDED all Doc fee's.
This way there would be no confusion when we sat down
for the final payment. I come in with a set amount of cash
and they handover the truck.
Which ended up at 2.5% below Invoice.

If that's true I won't be buying from them.

All dealerships are trying to make the most money they can, you just have to know how to play the game. Fields is no better or no worse, just do alot of research before buying, and dont give in.

Yes. Fields charges $589 in FL for their fee, plus a $103 state doc fee. They are the lowest in the area sadly =/ Put it this way. I got two quotes from two different dealerships. One was boasting prices at $28890 for a JKU $30,500 is invoice and the other said $30,000 flat. By the time OTD was calculated the dealership that quoted $30,000 was actually $100 less! So now I see that Fields put this new ad up on their website announcing Employee Rates. So, based on Pat's past posts it looks like that should come in about 5% under invoice as the poster mentioned above. I called dealership #3 to see if they would match that, but they claim that "employee pricing" simply means invoice. All the Fields seem to be closed today. Tried calling but no answer.

I had a great buying experience with FL... We picked up out 2012 Gecko Rubicon for 2% under invoice plus a free IPAD. But the offered us 6000 more for our trade than the local slime ball dealers in Tampa. If you deal with the Sanford Location please ask for Dennis.

Fields in IL offers true employee pricing while Fields in Sanford offer "dealership employee which is invoice.

For us it was worth buying from Fields in Sanford as they were very fair and offered us a great deal on our trade. It was the best buying experience I have ever had and that is buying 20 plus vehicles.

Pat in IL or Dennis is Sanford!
