What gives with Bestop!

I have 2 of their tops, the bikini and safari.

The bikini imo is utterly poor quality, and well whatever.

The safari top, I just purchased, and seems to fit somewhat better than the bikini, which I was really happy about, until I started driving. I am getting a african beating drum in my ear from the back if it just flapping like crazy at speeds around 20MPH, it gets way worse as you get faster.

Anyone have a fix for this, or experience this? I have the back straps as tight as they can get. And I also tried with them looser, no change.

I am through with Bestop I think.

I've always liked their products. However, I think lately there is some China Syndrome.

I might have had better lucky with Smittybilt tops. I am just frustrated with it. I see the Mopar branded items are much higher quality (Which makes me doubt Bestop makes them at this point) too bad none of their stuff fits.

Every other item I have bought has been outstanding for my vehicle, but if the name BEstop is on there, as Jimbo says, Fugedaboutit.

Hopefully someone from Bestop can chime in as their email rep sucks.

My experience has been just the opposite. I have bought 2 replacement tops for my TJ. The last one was about a month ago. Both tops fit perfectly & appear to be top quality. (I had to buy the 2nd top because my son rolled the TJ and the top incurred a couple tears) Having said that, I have never bought a bikini or safari top. I believe the Bestop tops fit better than others

I bought a Bestop last fall. The top is not tight but overall it's ok except the back side windows. Very loose, flaps, a ton of play.

I emailed them right after and the response I got was I needed new hardware. Even tho the prior top fit find and it's the windows that is flapping which should have nothing to do with hardware. The windows are just to long. Not happy with the response.
