it IS a VERY fun vehicle!
After driving small sedans, since the 90s, the biggest thing for me is a FULL FRAME !
love the 6 sp. and the beefy capabilities! Hope to drive this into retirement!

9. Realized I don't need to see the traffic lights, I just wait for everyone else or a horn.

I turned a little too sharply in a parking lot, and my rear tire went over a curb. I exclaimed "dang it!", then thought, "wait, I drive a jeep now".

1. Regularly get compliments on my Jeep. This has never happened before with other vehicles.
2. I don't mind sticking decals on it to "make it mine." The idea of sticking decals on previous vehicles was something ridiculous that would just make it look trashy.
3. I also look back at my jeep when I park it.
4. (goes with 3) When I look out the window of my office I am looking at my jeep.
5. My wife thinks I am checking the house to secure it before bed but when I peek out in the garage to "make sure the doors are down" it is really a chance to look at my jeep one more time before bed.
6. Playboy doesn't come close to getting me all worked up compared to the Quadratec catalog.
7. Counting down the days for it to get warm enough to get nekkid so I can become a "hardcore jeeper" and run nekkid the entire summer. Come on rain, I dare you!
8. I don't care that I don't have all the extra comfort conveniences. As long as I can pull the top off every chance I get. That is all the comfort I want.
9. Now and then I stick my head under nicely modded rigs in a parking lot because curiosity is killing me as to what they are running under there.
10. I get "the look." The look from the guy in the corvette, porsche, whatever that says "That guy in the jeep looks like he is having more fun driving his than I am."

These are two funny pecularities that I have noticed are unique to the jeep too! My wife just rolls her eyes as I start to list off the specific mods to every jeep we pass or find parked. Almost feels like you are cheating though when you drop to the ground to check out the suspension...

3. Even guys in Corvette's stare.
4. Fj guy hates me and I don't even know him.
5. Who in the f@ck designed the cup holders? Steven Hawkins?
6. Gear ratios are more important to owners than most everything else on the jeep.
7. No the top is not power.
8. "never seen that color before" ... Ya they change often...
9. Realized I don't need to see the traffic lights, I just wait for everyone else or a horn.
10. Brings back the joy of driving.
1. Reaching over to roll down the window is better than reaching over to unzip window. But can be easily overcome by not using doors. “Only in a Wrangler” Yea it’s a jeep thing.
2. This is my JK there are many like it but this one is mine. Therefore it is better J
3. Bikers are even jealous.
4. I hate the guy in the FJ. Every time I see a two tone one I think it is a Smurf on wheels.
5. Cup holders hold what I am drinking. Nice cold Coke.
6. Gear ratio is something like engine displacement, there is not replacement. It is a must.
7. No I do not or will not own a Rugged Ridge power top, the more on my Jeep that is mechanical over electrical the better off I am.
8. Never seen this color before? “My response” What did you just grow eyes yesterday? *L*
9. Traffic Lights: Realized I have to stop farther back which keeps my Jeep from getting its nose rubbed when people cut through intersections.
10. Realizes it is not the small things in life that makes me happy because: “My Jeep is BIG so is my Jeeps Rubbers”

Ha ha! I just Got my JKU on Saturday and on Monday some Honda decided to test the strength of my Hitch and rear end me. After Impact I was like "Damn it !! remembering the damage any minute love tap did to my xB, get out and see the honda smoking and leaking all its necessary juices. Then in fear look at my Jeep and witness nothing but a mangled Honda License in my hitch, and not one scratch on my JKU! I had to tell her I was sorry my Jeep ate her plate.

In my 4+ months of owning my JK, I have learned that:

-Owning a Jeep is a lot like owning a boat; everybody loves the fun part, but not everybody is up for the maintenance/upkeep. I have accepted and like that I have to be more attentive to it than any other 'normal' vehicle. I don't mind in the least having to wipe down and/or vacuum the interior 2-3 times a week because it is an open vehicle meant for going in rugged and dirty places. Also, I can understand why there are so many <1-year old Jeeps on the lot because not everyone understands what they are getting when they buy one.

-People stare, ask, and want to talk about it daily (them bringing up the subject, not me), and I drive an '11 JK that is mostly stock.

-Whenever I go out with friends or people from work, they want me to drive.

-It is definitely the most "personalized" vehicle I have ever owned.

-I don't even worry about locking it because it's pointless.

-It doesn't need to be fast to be fun.

-People always want to compare my Jeep with theirs, and I've learned not to care. I am not going to bankrupt myself trying to keep up with someone else who I don't even know, and as long as my Jeep serves my purposes, I'm happy.

As it pertains to mods I have found that Jeep ownership/modding (after all they ARE one in the same) is a lot like an artist would explain carving a work of art from wood or granite.
You must find the piece within the medium and bring it forward.
Every Jeep has a soul or an inner self and it is our job to find it and release it's beauty.
That's why no two jeep are ever the same. Even when owned by the same person.
It's a symbiotic relationship.

Wtf is an olllllo and who the hell is steven hawkins?

I agree with the op though, except reaching over to the door to roll down the windows sure is annoying in my jk.....guess you have power windows...

Also doors are alot easier to take off than putting on.

Fountains of gasoline are awesome.

Stephen Hawking is a physicist who has been wheel chair bound since his teens. He has one of the most tricked out wheelchairs on the planet.

I understand that he has given up his black hole research, and is now spending most of his time trying to figure out the relationship between jeep windshields and small rocks.

Hubby bought a 2011 Challenger in June 2011 and I never said a word. I just got my 4th Jeep, a 2013 Gecko Sport and he says he doesn't get why I like Jeeps when he'll buy me any vehicle I want. LOL He'll never get it....it's just a Jeep thing.

I've learned that abandoned strip shopping centers have large floor to ceiling windows that allow me to watch myself driving my jeep in the reflection.
