What if washers were put inside the track bar bracket?

So I finally torque'd my JKS front trackbar to 125ft/lb. However, the driver's end still clunks inside its bracket. I can push up on the TB and get it to clunk. It seems like an absurd amount of force is needed to bend the bracket in to hold the track bar and I'm all out of strength ability.

So I'm wondering... What if someone were to put thin washers inside the track bar bracket, on each side of the track bar bushing, and really cut down on the amount of bend/flex needed by the bracket?

Absurd?
