I have tried to search the forums but there really is no thread on different tires when going to a 33 or 35 that works well with the Wrangler. I did a lot of research only to find myself further away from what I want. Do I go with a A/T with better tread wear or a M/T with a better Mud traction. I really like the Cooper STT but keep getting conflicting reviews on them. People either love them or hate them. Surprisingly the Firestone M/T gets great reviews on the net but haven't heard anyone that actually owns them. The Offroad shop pushes Nitro Grapplers but I have seen just so so reviews on them. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2 gets great review but doen't look aggressive enough IMO. Well still leaning towards the Coopers at the moment but like to get feedback because since my Jeep is a Daily Driver I rather not spend a lot for a tire that will wear out quickly on pavement.
I am in too much of a hurry to read all of the posts....but I will tell you, from experience, that no matter what tire you choose to go with, millions will hate it and millions will like it.
I had Nitto Terra Grapplers on my last truck and hated them. I think they were terrible because I never put any weight in the bed. But, I wanted to give Nitto another try at keeping my business, so I went with the Trail Grapplers on my new Jeep. I have barely put 100 miles on them yet, so I really can't give you an honest opinion.
I am sure whatever you decide to go with will make you happy.
I'm leaning heavy on the Kevlars for next go round. It will be at least a year though unless I sell my Dunlops M/t's I have now. I'm very anxtious on the report for these especially how quickly they wear on road. Goodyear and BFG's have always wore out quick in the past for me but my driving style has signifigantly changed since I got a lift.
I would put the geolandars towards the top. They look nice especially with white lettering and look pretty aggressive. They are definately better than the bridgestones in mud too. Granted they arent mud tires but they work great on trails. They are also good on rocks. The bridgestones can get eaten up by rocks quick. Someone here posted a pic of their bridgestones and it looks like dry Rot from the rocks. Basically don't get the bridgestones. The Duratrac Isnt up there either. That is an extremely good looking and functional all terrain that is very capable in mud
Mine are 35x12.5x18's as well. With 3.73's they are going to rob power for sure. I put in the 5.13's & couldn't be happier. It's deffinately more sluggish with these 35's than it was with my 33 inch BFG's.
Toyos are heavy heavy tires. They are designed to be on 3/4 & 1 ton trucks. I have to air down to 10 psi to get them to squat, lol.
Here's a pic for you.
i have the bfg km series and they have been good so far. was considering going to the km2's based off the great reviews they are getting but two things are stopping me from doing that.
1) apparently they won't fit on a stock JK without modding it (which i'm not planning on doing right now)
2) they come with white writing on the side wall that will look tacky as hell on my black JK with gunmetal rims and tints

Ummmmm, when you flip them 'round, they're blackwall... ...like every other tire on the planet...
If you're going to knock the KM2s, knock them for their real demerits; they're primarily an offroad tire, mud-oriented at that. They're just not that good on the street compared to the competition.
Goodyear and Cooper are doing a better job of using technology to make better tires.
