a leveling kit levels your jeep. a lift kit lifts your jeep.

A leveling kit will level (remove the rake from) your jeep and lift it a little bit. These kits generally lift the front two inches and the rear only an inch.

A regular lift kit will lift you jeep, usually by the same amount, all the way around. Although, from what I've read, some of the coil suspension lift kits will give you a little extra up front to compensate for the weight of after market bumpers and winches. So after you've added your after market bumper and winch you sit pretty much level.
