Smile What is this part?

Hi, I scooted over a railroad crossing in my wife's new unlimited last week and this bit fell on her foot.... (passenger side) I thought I'd just mention it to the dealer at the first oil change but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask the collective just in case they brush it off and it's something that matters.

Anyhow, I'm really liking reading the "what have you done to your JK" thread and it's giving me all sorts of ideas. So far I've double Scotchgaurded the interior, added Weathertek mats, plastidipped the silver front bumper appliqué, added wheel locks, lifted the hardtop to get the softtop out, fab'd a mesh radiator protector and test fitted a child seat for an impending arrival.

It's a 2013 Unlimited Sahara, 430N, dual top, black on black with LSD.

Looks like a wire clip of sorts. Doubt the dealer would know lol. Good luck!

The dealer would probably do more damage then good trying to reinstall it.

it looks like it holds the trim piece in under the dash on the passenger side. lay in the floor board and look up with a flashlight. it should slide onto a plastic dowl pin.

I found that same piece in mine shortly after taking delivery! I found some pin that it seemed to fit on, but couldn't really tell what it did. stuck it on there and it stayed, so .
