What is this used for?

It's on both sides but nothing is connected to either one. I'm sure it's useful, just not sure what for.

That is a bracket to secure your sway bar when disconnected. You have Teraflex quick discos on there?

Sorry, this is under the front wheel wells, the silver pin bracket.

I do have quick disconnect sway bar links, not sure of the brand though, not sure of the lift specs at all.

Well, they are defintely for the sway bar. Reason I mentioned Teraflex is because they actually come with a bracket such as that. You simply pull the retaining pin, rotate the link up to that bracket, slide it on the pin, and slide in the retaining pin.
