What kind of grill is this

I am new to the forums and I saw a picture of a grill on ebay and I wanted to ask if anyone knew what type it was and where I could get one from. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

It's a stock grill that has been painted or "plasti-dipped" with RR inserts added.

looks like it might be the grill from a Mountain or Islander. i have that grey grill on my JK, thought all the mountains came with it.

plus all the inserts Tom mentioned...

They have also installed a bug deflector. I put one of those on for about 20 miles before taking it off. Worst mod ever. It deflected an airblast directly to mid windshield and the roar was deafening.

^^this I believe. Though it might be a Mountain grill like on if the other posters mentioned. Kinda hard to tell from that angle.

Digging that WWII star on the hood though. Been contemplating doing that to mine as well.

Based on the body color fender flares, I suspect it's not a "Mountain" edition grille. They could've been added later of course, but still.

Whatever the case, it's a stock grille with some tidbits added. Unless it's a Mountain edition, it's probably just been painted dark gray. The Jeep logo has been painted black. A bug deflector has been added. "Euro guards" have been put over the lights. Rugged Ridge inserts have been put into the seven slots. And of course you've got an aftermarket bumper/winch with a hoop bar over the winch.

Can be re-done on any jeep by just ordering the parts.

Do light guards like that really do anything to protect the lights?

Nah. You could no doubt conjure up a hypothetical where--somehow--they would dampen some sort of impact that would otherwise have cracked your headlight, but I'd expect it'd be a pretty idiosyncratic occurance. I'd say that folks who add those guard do so more for the appearance than anything else.
