I travel too much and drive my Jeep too little. Right now it sits in the garage and gets started every couple of weeks but the mileage at my one year ownership date will be under 1,000.
What - if anything - should I have done to the car?
What's the proper time/mileage sequence for oil change etc?
Yes, I know - I have to travel less and drive more!
Haha - you are so RIGHT and My Bad - It is my Jeep! My "car" lives next to it, if it's lucky..
Given what I have seen so far it's the Oil Change. Doesn't seem to be anything else but if someone can think of something I - or they - may have missed, pls let me know. That includes the whereabouts of the missing torx screw from my overhead speaker, lurking on the floor somewhere....
think you got most of the oil change and typical maintenance covered but your jeep don't care whether you don't drive her too much wranglers are one of the most exposed vehicle on the road and rust on them never sleeps.
i would check frame underneath for rust build up
that 2 panel upfront the one you access to fold the windshield down
your doors, hinges and if you happen to take off your tailgate it is not primed with paint so the steel is bare
the console in the middle where your shifter and transfer case are located underneath is also bare steel, it take sometime to do all that but let me know what you see when you get a chance.
Some Honda Genuine Shin-Etsu Grease on all of the rubber seals wouldn't hurt
