I feel bad when I miss a wave! 9 times out of 10 the other person could just miss it too.

That if your wife doesn't understand why you want a rubicon instead of a sport, buy the sport and spend the next 5 years modifying it like hell. When you trade the sport and you look at her and say I like the rubicon, she looks back and says yea.. But they have the AEV edition rubicon over there and its already on 35's, lifted and loaded with goodies just buy that instead.

They never told me that could possibly happen but it did.

Hood fludder. Factory hood straps are sub par. Get a good gust of wind on your jk and you will need to change your shorts.

The hood pops up and down vertically as wind gusts catch it from different angles in such windy situations as:
-bad thunderstorms
-gusty open highways with open prairie/desert/coastline/etc
-and (see above) when passing or being passed by a semi at a good clip

That everyone stares at you when driving naked (top off, doors off, not short's).
I literally see people speed up just to look at my baby in her birthday suit.

Running quick errands like making short trips to the grocery store would turn into something to be happy about instead of a burden – especially while naked.

You saw a couple of replies with explanations on hood flutter. The fix? Open your hood and remove the spring.

Lol. I just try and leave one or two windows cracked. You don't need to shut the doors so hard.

Is hood flutter an issue with '13s? My hood seems pretty solid plus I've got those two honkin' clips on either side to hold 'er down...

Good question. My 2012 seemed solid too, until I got close to a couple of semis on the freeway.

I'm going to embarrass all of you and get myself shunned... but

I didn't really know Jeeps were an offroad vehicle when I bought my TJ in 2007. I liked them cause I liked how they looked and liked the convertible top. I didn't really know their offroad capabilities until I started talking about getting a JK and my ex started getting interested in them from watching youtube videos.

And as a note to someone else's comments... even the JKUs are shorter than people think. It is no longer than my old 2 door Pontiac G5 was.

Not flutter. Something even more scary- a ballooning hood. I don't have any flutter but on a two lane highway I got passed by a pickup towing a utility trailer and my hood ballooned up with a loud bang like it was inflated. Only my laundry person knows how much that scared me because I thought the hood would explode. After my Uptown Girl's (wife's) eyes resumed normal size I was regaled again about what a POS Jeeps are. Of course that was before we made it to her hippie son's cabin 7 miles up a forest road covered with up to 14" deep snow. After that, crickets.

She has redeeming qualities. And after the snow experience she's keeping her powder dry- one of those redeeming qualities.
