What Nobody Told Us About Jeeps.

So we all know how great Jeeps are, but when you got yours did you discover something(s) nobody told you about? For me it was that windshields are a consumable item. What did you discover?

....the rear window on the soft top.
i really like the ease of the soft top for the open air experience, but it didn't bug me until i had my first grocery experience.
removing the rear window just to fit groceries is a pita.

Holy bug splatter batman!

Even with rainx and wax, you'll still be cleaning bugs off all those flat, front facing surfaces forever.

x2 on dawhitesJKU's comment as well.

that you will always have AT LEAST one strange unidentifiable sound coming from somewhere on, in, or under your jeep. Soon as you track that one down and fix it, a new one begins.

That the wrangler is the bane of flying bugs. After a long drive on the highway I am able to reduce the population of bugs in the area in which i'm driving by at least 50%, guaranteed

Windshield collects flying rocks too. I've had 3 hits in 3 months. The last one cracked it pretty good.

No one told me that when I was in the 101st ABN at 17 and got behind the wheel of my first jeep, that I would spend the next 30 years behind the wheel of one.

Not complaining. Just thought that I might grow up at some point.

Okay, off to play CoD.
