What shade lamin-x did you use?

I want to order the laminx covers for my jeep headlights and markers and want to go with the dark if possible but I'm not sure if it will block out too much light. Did any of you have to switch over to LED's or can you lamin X over stock lights? I believe the previous owner put brighter bulbs in and I was going to do the smoke on all the auxiliaries and the light tint on the headlights, but I'd like to do dark smoke if you can still see your headlights through it ok.

I thought about doing either Lamin-x or the Recon lights, but was talked into just using nightshade's spray. I did it a couple months ago, looks great and was very easy.

I just didn't want to mess with the hassle of possible hyperflash LED problems that many complained about switching to LEDs.

I bought nightshades for the side markers and smaller lights. You put it on the headlights though and it turned out ok? Did you scuff the headlights for it to stay on?

I just put it on the side markers and turn signals, think I did three coats and you can still see them perfectly.

I didn't do the head lights as I felt that is probably just asking to get pulled over, and the head lights on the wrangler are not the greatest so I didn't want to take the risk of dimming them any. If you decided to do the headlights I do not believe you have to scuff them up first. I didn't scuff up my side markers and turn signals.
