What size Optima Yellow for a 2012 JKU???

Hey guys, I was just on Optima's site, and they don't have any 2012 listed yet, and don't give the 2011 model numbers. What size optima yellows work with a 2012 JKU?

On a side note, I know that Optima quality has taken a nose dive in the last 5 years, so I was wondering if anyone has another suggestion for a DRY CELL, DEEP CYCLE battery. I'm not married to the Optima.

Thanks for the help!

You know what, you're not the first to recommend them. A few people have been steering me towards them. Do you happen to know which one fits the 2012??

Or the 8014045-D34/78 which has dual posts, I heard some guys have that one also. I'm also in the market for the optima, I want the yellow top. There is a couple discount codes at Advance Auto (p21=$25, VISA=$50 nit sure if the visa one still works) plus the $25 rebate makes it a very affordable battery. I can't find any recent recommendations for it but a couple years ago there seamed to be a lot of trouble with them. I would love to hear from anyone runnning this battery right now.

I am all for them. I just can't find another dry cell. The die hard platinums are still acid filled.

After you have seen the failures and the "quality" (inside) you would be saying other wise my friend. I know numerous people's battery that has shorted out due to the fiberglass mat coming "undone"

I agree 100%. Their quality has gone down severely in the last few years. However, my experience with dry deep cycle batteries have been positive. I am looking for something that is better than an optima but is still a deep cycle AND a dry cell. If I can find what I am looking for I will be going with a platinum die hard.

You and I both are. I'll never had a optmia. I need a battery for my jeep because of the winch and other gizmos I make/sell

like the black box cheaper than the spod by half and does more.

Check out Lifeline AGM batteries.

I've done a lot of research on AGM batteries and it seems that Lifeline is either the best or right at the top of a very short list. WARNING: They are not cheap ! ! !

I get my Lifeline batters from:

Regards.

I've got 2 optima yellow tops under the hood of my '11. Came highly recommended from sources I value.

I've got twice the piece of mind when I'm way the hell and gone... out dirt roads without other folks in sight... sometimes for days...

And I'm a happy camper fwiw

Check out boating websites, especially sailboat sites. They really rely on their batteries and a lot of them choose the Odyssey batteries and/or the Diehard Platinum AGM batteries (which are made by Odyssey I read but cheaper). My last two Optima's were disappointing and I had used them for years.
