What size wheels should I run on my new Rubicon?

I am purchasing a new 2012 all Black Rubicon next week. I told the dealer to keep the stock wheels and tires and give me credit, they agreed.

I will be heading down to discout tire to pick out some chrome wheels with michelon tires.

What size wheels do you recommend that will look the best, most uniform for the JK model? 16s 17s or 18s?

Wheels are pretty personal but I think 16 are a great sizel but definitely not Michelin tires. Buying a rubicon and putting on street tires is like buying a stud horse and neutering it.

I did the same ... went with AEV Savegre Black (17x8.5) and BFG MT 285-70-R17 (33's) ... really happy with the result

I forgot to mention that it will be used mainly on highway and some dirt roads back in the woods, but no rock crawl.

They are also installing a 2 inch suspension lift.

It's all preference man. Just keep it 17" or below, and no taller than 33" (or a touch more) for 2" of lift.

Personally, I think 15s or 16s look best with 33s, and 16s for 35s. I really only like 17 and up with 37s+.

If it were me, I'd go 15 or 16. 17 at the max.

I will say that, based on your stated usage, sounds like you should have went with a Sport or Sahara.

I already have a 2003 with 15 inch mickey thompsons. This will be a additional jeep and yes I understand that for my usage a Rubicon is over kill, but i always wanted one and decided that it is just time to try it.
My Grandson is getting my 2003 and boy is he ever happy about it, because it will be his first vehicle.

It sounds like 17 inch wheels with 285/70r/17s would be a good choice.
Thank you for you recommendations.

Do you have a lift or spacers to fit those aev's with the tires? Looks nice by the way
