What the HECK???

I am new to the forum and need some Jeep help!!
We were trail riding in Ocala over the holidays and tore off a part from in front of the rear axle. It is a black plastic box with three leads going to it. One is a wire harness that i put back and the other two broke off the unit. One of the other two goes into white plastic on one side of the box and the other goes into the other side. The lead I reconected goes into the middle.
This was my first trail ride and wife is not happy!!!
The unit connects to the underside by just sliding into three sleeves.
Everything still works fine.
What is It?????

PoisonSpyder makes a skid for that. It's a bit overkill in terms if thickness, but it'll take all kinds of abuse. around $100.

FYI - on Pentastar (2012+), the Poison spyder evap kit requires grinding to fit. On my 2013 (not sure about the 2012) there is a shield from the factory on the evap canister - but it is no where near as beefy as the PSC.

It's part of emissions. Assuming would throw a CEL.

There is also kits that relocate the evap.

I believe it contains activated charcoal and stores gas fumes...

Activated charcoal is some nasty stuff. I had to try some in paramedic school. Nasty!

No need to do any grinding to attach my PSC Evap Can Skid on my '12. Works like a charm.

And yes, the '12+ have them all skidded, but not very beefy. In addition the PSC skid raises the EC up higher than the rear drive shaft.

I heard it's great for when you "accidentally" swallow a whole bottle of pills.
