I get a pretty consistent 14-14.5 with 3.5 inches of lift, 35s & like 350lbs of skids & bumpers on my 13 Rubi with 4.10s. Thats me calculating, not the computer. I never reset the computer & at one point on my trip wheeling on Sunday it was down to 1 mpg. Lol!

Costly enough to fill up these babies, and guessing I'm glad I chose a two door.
The 4Dr model seems like an awfully lot of metal to be haulin' around all the time.
With the cost of gas as it is, the 2 dr is PLENTY to take on to support this vice.
I consider myself very lucky and thankful to have such a vehicle at all.
All my life, cars were a necessary joy/evil to get around.
A Jeep changes that perspective considerably in that it is much more FUN, and a waay more ROBUST vehicle. For that, I am willing to part with a few Dracnas to
enjoy this part of my life! Ya can't take it with you so you might as well enjoy what you have!

2013 2-dr Sahara automatic with hard top and 600 miles on it thus far, getting right around 17 mpg with the winter blend fuel. We expect it to do better after it has been broken in a few more miles and they change over the winter fuel at the pumps.

This will be a bit of a long post but MIGHT have some value......I changed oil in our '12 JK at 500 miles and again at 1000, and at 1000 went to Mobil full synthetic. We ran that for 4000 miles (which would be 5K) and changed it again at 10K miles with Full synthetic. During this time my wife was getting about 19-20mpg around town.

We got coupons in the mail from dealer for oil changes so I had the wife start using them. And I also noticed that the dealer was keeping track of how often it was in there and if we had "warranty" work done. So as a safe guard, suggested the wife continue to get her oil changes there. Didn't want to run into "issues" if we ended up with the "head problem" or anything..so let them do oil changes was about the same price.

I don't drive the JK much, MAYBE once a week sometimes not even that. What I did notice was the mpg seemed down a little every time I drove it and checked the computer.

We took a trip to MI and while the mpg was decent, was still down from when it was new, which kinda confused me. The motor has almost 20K now and should be broke in and getting better mpgs. IMO but it just wasn't happening.

I drove the Jk for almost a week to see what "was wrong" if anything and mileage was still down, and I knew the fuel was good. (had issues in the past with cheaper fuel from some stations)

Than I asked my wife and yep (for those that haven't figured it out) she was having conventional oil put in the Jeep at the dealer. That is the only variable I could find difference is about 2-3mpgs in town and about the same on the highway.

While that is not a big difference, with the price of gas a "loss" of about 10% hurts over time. We didn't get the JK to be great on fuel consumption, but at the same time I have no problem giving it every advantage that we can.

Next oil change will be full Synthetic.

so you HAD full synthetic oil in your Jeep, and the dealer put conventional oil in it? ? ? ?
I would seriously contact that dealer and have a discussion about that..
Did you tell them it had Synth in it when you took it in?
Everything i have heard is once you go Synthetic you GOTTA stay Synthetic..
Going Synthetic back to Conventional is BAD

'13 JKU and the computer in the jeep says 13.2... can that be correct? it's all stock auto with the 3.21 gears mostly city driving. is this computer accurate?

I have "heard that rumor" also, but I have never known anyone on this Forum or in person who can explain (satisfactorily) why that would be, or who experienced any true problems attributable to the oils.

My '04 TJ which has over 160K on it has been switched back and forth more than once and never an issue.

I doubt my wife knew or understood the difference in full synthetic/ dino or even knew which one was in the JK.

I am not worried about that aspect of it, will just go back to full synthetic next time. Thanks for the concern though.
