Opened the door, got in, key in the ignition, turned it on, got myself turned on, and went for dinner with some friends.

Adjusted the sound and looked for a perfect song to play. I forgot what song but took me like 10 min and off to dinner.

I just bought mine Saturday, and drove the extra long way home on purpose. I actually look for excuses to just drive it. It's so much fun!!!

First week bought Antenna-X shorty, mopar hood lock and Mopar locking gas cap all keyed to the ignition key (due to lots of trips to the airport). Second week got rid of stock Sahara wheels and tires and purchased some AEV Pintlers and GY Duratracs. The madness continues to this day...

Drove it home, popped the top and the doors off and then drove around aimlessly for 2 hours with a silly grin on my face!

I insured it. Payed taxes for it too as it was a private sale.

It snowed that day too. First snow of the winter.

Went to Home Depot, bought 2 straps and some eyehooks and rigged up a hard top hoist. Took 3 minutes to remove the hardtop, Then spent the better part of 2 hours trying to get the soft top to stretch and fit.

Holy crap, I hope that gets easier

that's a metalcloak product, but i used a 6.5 x 13" piece of 1/2 inch plywood and ziptied it in. Works like a charm and like a tenth of the cost.

Broke it in... 440 miles across mountains and desert from out-of-state dealer to home. Plenty of the recommended speed variation, as well as some highly technical testing of radio controls, cup holders, seat adjustments and soundproofing. Passed all testing- decided to keep it!

drove away with my friend following in my Honda. Pulled up to the house, parked half on the curb and snapped a pic. When he asked why, I said, "It's a Jeep thing." and grinned. Then took the freedom panels off and drove 50 miles to the other side of the city for chicken wings... On the way home, got a wave from another Jeeper, filled it up, and froze our asses off on the way home.

Park in direct sunlight and dont drop the top for atleast a few days.

Usuallly if you got a soft top replaced the shop would tell you not to drop it for 2 weeks....but thats with ordinary cars with power roofs....they can damage hydraulic crap you dont have....

Takes me ten minutes to put my top up
