Picked up some decent heavy duty floor mats, ordered cargo mat and got the windows tinted.

When I was on the test drive at the dealership, I noticed how the rear head rests blocked my view out the back window....So naturally I removed them the minute I took possession of my new Jeep, dropped the top, surprised my son at school, and went on an afternoon trail drive. Oh, and while on trail received my first desert pinstripe! Happy I was first to "add" some character to my new Jeep all in its first day.

We got a '12 JK back in Dec of '11...I made the wife drive it home it is "her" Jeep...that has now become a tradition....I always make her drive the new ones home...I "caught" her using the JK a few weeks ago after we had purchased the first JKU...and she did it again last week since we got the Polar Edition. I guess the first thing I do is make the wife get used to it!!

Drove an 85 mile loop starting at 4:30 AM in my attempt to get past the first 500 miles on break-in. Bought in NC while on Vacation and was anxious to get past the break-in before I headed back to Kansas City. Invented places to go.....about every 90 minutes.

The absolute first thing was I SMILED really big! Then I had to pull over about a block from the dealer so that I could go on the internet on my phone to FIGURE OUT WHERE THE POWER WINDOW BUTTONS WERE TO ROLL THEM DOWN lol!!!!

Washed and waxed it the day after. Restored the plastic on all of my fenders and cleaned the interior thoroughly. I was amazing how much newer a 5 year old vehicle can look after a little TOC

First thing I did once I got it home was I told my neighbor I didn't plan on doing anything with it, except for maybe some beefier tires someday. That feeling of satisfaction lasted about 18 hours.

For this one, I needed to find an open gas station. It was just after Sandy and I was running on fumes. The dealership had no way to fill it.

I flew home from Vegas, friend picked me up at airport and got to my dealership at 7PM. Drove it home with the steelies(since my rubber wasnt in yet for my new wheels), took off for Chicago for a week at 6 AM the next morning. It only has 144 miles on the odo. I can't wait for my license to be reinstated so I can actually drive the damn thing.

Ordered it and had a package deal from dealer to install lift, mount/balance new wheels and tires, and align. Stopped and had windows tinted on the way home.
