What would cause this to happen?

My wife's 2007 JKU Sahara hardtop was parked in the driveway last night. At 3:30 this morning the alarm went off. All the doors were locked and it doesn't appear that anyone tried to pry one open. I thought this was a passive alarm and would not go off without a door being opened.

Any ideas?

Maybe a bad "door ajar" switch?

One of my old WJ GCs had an intermittent switch on the driver's door -- sometimes when you closed the door, the interior lights would stay on and it would continue to annoy you about the door being open. Also, as I was driving along, now and then the lights would come on inside and the VIC would tell me that the door was ajar.

Sometimes a weak battery can cause electrical the gremlins to appear.

When I went out after sun up today I found that the rear driver side door had not been completely closed and the wind had blown it open.

Holy smoke. I didn't think the alarm would arm if the doors and gate weren't shut................
