what would macgyver do?

Driving back home with groceries and no doors on a 4 door with the back seat folded to clear a box that won't fit with the seat up, and there's this huge open space on both sides and sure enough, one of the bags makes a break for it

so I'm looking around in my footlocker for I don't know what, and it dawns on me that the door openings are pretty similar in size and shape to the freedom panels, and sure enough...

they wedged right in like they were meant to hold cargo in an emergency

Nice

But i would rather loose a bag then a Freedom top. Those things can be pricey.

It is fun to realise that we see you as (and you feel like) a superhero coming up with this macgyver solution

Every non-jeeper in the world, however, will think: why did the douchebag got rid of his doors in the first place....

I don't think they can come out... I had to put the seat all the way forward, wedge it in, and then move the seat back, and I had to put the seats all the way forward again to unwedge them today

Buy a couple of bungee nets, the kind used on the back seat of sport bikes...stretch em between the frame rails on your front and back seats and, voilá, no more problems with stuff trying to bail on you.

I just hope that MacGyver is in doubt whether he is going to fix his car using some reed, or whether he is simply going to construct a new tank using 89% of his Audi and 11% of a KFC burger.

I think in that last photo he's wondering what's taking the tow truck so damn long.
