I like the Builder's Edition idea - call it a Jeep Wrangler Basic perhaps in ordering one. You have to go into a dealer or online to get one, and they are sold only to individuals, no dealer orders. It starts with picking a 2 or 4 door, then gives you engine option of gas or diesel (dreaming here), then option of transmission type, axles, gearing, wheels, tires, seats, carpet or bedliner, stereo, bumpers, winch, headlights, top (soft top or hard top), door type (half or full or both), hood type. I'm sure I could add a lot more to this list too, but basiclly we would get to pick whatever options we want to with very few overlap issues. A complete Jeep Basic order with just the bare minimum would be $15-18k based on engine and transmission only.
I know I would go in thinking I'll just order the bare minimum, and then I would build away knowing it's easier to finance a lot of options then to do them later.
2012 2DR Wrangler Sport, Silver/w dual top. 2.5" Teraflex coil and shock lift with 33" Goodyear Duratracs.
I no longer have my 2012 Jeep. I am now the owner of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition, Billet Silver.
Life is Good!
Since I was very proudly born and raised in West Texas, I would like to see a Lone Star or TexasEdition Wrangler. It's extremely popular with pickups there. After all, by definition, a Wrangler is "A cowboy or cowgirl, especially one who tends saddle horses and livestock on a ranch."
Jeep started as a military General Purpose vehicle, called a G.P. then they started calling it a Jeep sooooo if they brought back the G.P. like a survival/camping/1st aid type vehicle, if it came with the safety features, or emergency general purpose what you need when you need it! The possibilities are endless!
I dont know about you guys, but i kinda like a "Area 51" edition. The last time i was in Nevada, they had a ton of off road adventure areas there and the area around Area 51 is full of mountains. It could be an all black stealth jeep with some green accents, to resemble the planes and alies they keep there. (yes i beilive theres aliens).
I'm a sucker for special editions. My last two vehicles were special editions (my Jeep is an Arctic). Of all the ideas posted here, I think this is my favorite. Mainly because I like the idea of an all blacked out Jeep.
