I'm not in the habit of giving the government a free loan every year.

With what little I am getting, I am buying a house this year. Most jeep projects are on hold until i am in a house.
And stinks because I have two jeeps that require alot of mods....

Mine is going back into my bank account to partially offset the real estate and personal property tax money I had to shell out at the end of 2013. By the end of this year I should be back to pre tax-time savings levels and then the cycle repeats all over again.

4.88 or 5.13 Yukon gears
Selling my 33 Duratracs and getting 35 KM2's or MTR's... I know, I should have just gone 35s from the beginning.

I ordered a bumper, and I will get some ruggid ridge hood latches, fuel door, Grabars and a front skid plate. The wife puts the rest in the bank to offset non budgeted expenses. Like broken Jeep parts

gun control

I'm helping Obama out with gun control by buying a Remington R51. One less gun in the hands of a criminal. God bless America!

That being said - I purchased the Bestop Supertop NX Black Twill, Bestop Protectant for Black Twill, & a black SpiderwebShade.

Counting down the days until spring.

2x can't remember the last time I didn't owe. Politicians stick their greasy hands deeper into my pockets every year. Bonus on the other hand...I am very tempted to get a metal cloak lift!

Exactly. And I always don't understand what special about that people need to spend it like extra money. It has always been your money just not in your pocket yet.
If you pre-calculate the "number of allowances" correct, you won't have much tax return but more everyday money all year round.

Having a little extra taken out for taxes each payday is just cheap insurance against having to PAY at tax time. I understand it when people don't want to give the government a "free loan" for a year, but with the crappy interest you get in savings accounts, you aren't really saving anything. Besides, we are entering what I call the "Winter Doldrums".....which means that not much is going on, and things are calling for a fresh look, new additions, and some exciting activity. A nice tax return helps these things along nicely.
Back in 1971, I had to take out a loan to pay my taxes, and I vowed then and there to NEVER have to do that again. I've gotten a return every year since.

Nice. I helped out in a similar way a few times last year.

My huge federal donation is going to D.C. to help redistribute wealth among the States. All combined I could have paid 1/3 of what I own on our house with the FICA, State and Federal taxes my wife and I threw at the messed up system this year.

I'll quit sulking and move on, but I do have some "extra" money I will spend on my jeep this year.

I need a roof rack to haul my 3rd and 4th kayaks
I need a bimini top
I'd like to acquire a new bumper and put on some different fender flares.

Enjoy your tax returns and show off the pics people.
