What's my gearing ?

I got my 07 X 6 speed manual, not that long ago.
At 70mph, my RPM is 2500 or a bit above like 2600 in sixth gear, with 255/75/17 wheels.
It has a factory installed hitch, so I' m wondering if the gearing has been changed because of it ? What gearing I likely have? planning to run 33's soon ?? (it came originally with 245/75/16 but I switched them to 255/75/17 since it was a free swap)
Thanks in advance.

Go to Jeep.com and click on the owner's tab. You can enter you VIN and see your build sheet.

Jack up the rear and mark a spot on the tire and drive shaft. Count shaft revolutions per wheel revolution. 3.73 the shaft would spin 3 3/4 revolutions per tire turn.

If he's turning a little over 2500@70mph on 32" tires in 6th gear. According to this chart, would he have 4.1 gears?

Sounds like 4.10 to me. That was an option in 2007.

So what are the pros and cons of 4.1 gears vs 3.21 or 3.73 ?
I don't do too serious off roading (no rock climbing) mostly trail, and deep snow off roading on frozen lakes (and it's my daily driver as well)
33" tires will be OK if it's 4.1 ? won't it be sluggish?
The Jeep now is pretty peppy overall.

Sorry for my newbie questions.

Most here would say you have the best stock gear option with the 4.1's.

Pro: better crawl
con: less mileage at highway speed

Yes the 33" will feel more sluggish than what you have now. You should be turning about 2400 at 70mph in 6th. Should be fine for the 33" tires. I would not go much larger.

4.10s are the most desirable stock option.

Many run 33s on 3.21 gears, so 4.10s are going to be better than that. Technically, you could feel some more sluggishness, but it is possible to get a 33" tire/wheel set up that is lighter weight enough over the stock 32" set up that it's a wash.

A manual transmission will be far better suited to larger tires than an auto.

Thanks for all your replies.

PS.

I just checked I'm at 2500 RPM when I shift from first to second gear....normal driving off from the stoplight.
