Whats my JK Worth?

Going to be putting my Wrangler up for sale soon. Was curious what you guys thought its worth?

09 JK 3.8L X
6spd Manual (2000 miles on full rebuild & new clutch/pressure plate installed)
65,000 miles
Tera Flex Leveling kit
Bushwacker Flares
33" Nitto Terra Grapplers (95% tread)
18" Fuel Hostages
Spare tire and rim to match
4:10 gears installed front and rear (2000 miles ago, all new bearings etc)
Heavy Duty metal front and rear bumpers
Warn 8000lb Winch with wireless remote
6000k HIDs
6000k HID Foglights
Gloss black grill shell with black inserts
Black hood vinyl stripe
Rhino Floor mats

Jeep is immaculate condition and never been offroad. You can literally eat off this thing underneath. Jeep was bone stock until about 8 months ago everything was put on.

I would guess $16,000. But you won't know until someone comes up with the money.

Are you trading or selling? Trading will be a couple thousand lower. Unfortunately the tranny rebuild will only be worth piece of mind. At 65k it probably shouldn't have died and may be an alarm to someone or they will just be happy with having it rebuilt. Just a guess tho based on the JKs in my area would be 17-20k as a private sale. You can check out NADA for a more exact number but I think that range is a pretty good asking price. Up by me in New England you may get towards the lower end of that but who knows. You could always ask 20 and accept a little less.

Usually you can't get back too much money from the mods because they are a personality thing.

Keep in mind a new, super basic 2013 is 22k and change so you probably won't get more than that out of your jeep

Selling out right. Trans was rebuilt because of the issue these trans have about popping out of gear. So I went ahead and had the entire thing gone through anything that looked wore any. Thanks for the opinions.

I stand corrected. Nada says about 21k for private sale and 17.5 for trade. Hope that was close to what you wanted to hear

I was thinking about asking 22,500.. Everything on the jeep is basically new still. Hopefully it will work out. Thanks!

I would say about 19,000 around here. Paid 18,500 for an 08 2 Door Rubicon with 35's from a dealer (tires and wheels brand new, dealer installed) with only 58,000 miles.

Good question. If it were not for off-roading I wouldn't own a Jeep. Maybe that's why he is selling it.

Does is have AC?

I only ask because AC didn't show up on my build sheet when I traded my 07 in.

It did have it but dropped my trade in value about a grand on paper.

How much you Jeep is worth will vary by a $2-3K depending the buyers interest/appreciation in the mods you have done and your patience in finding the right buyer.

Was it bone stock? This one was purchased bone stock with 50k on it for almost $18k. After looking around on the net seems like the price range for one similar condition and mods is 21-24k asking price.

Its actually my mothers Jeep. She bought it and added all the extras as it was something she always wanted to do then realizing it wasn't what she really wanted to be DD around.

One thing I've learned in buying and selling vehicles is that you never get your money back on mods.

Yep. You could pull all that stuff off and return it to stock. You'd probably get more that way (a full days work).

I know the mods are worth something but you're asking near what a new 2 '14 door can be had for.

Another option is to trade if there is a sales tax credit in your state. That would be worth ~ $1500 extra over a private part sale where I live.

Mods don't add value to a vehicle. Only to the "Right" buyer. to most people mods actually detract value as then the idea is "if they effed with this and that, what else did they eff with that you can't see" or "if it is modded it must be abused"

To each his own, but I personally would never buy a modified vehicle unless it was at a significant savings over a stock one.
