Kinda hope it's just tiny stuff, or a lot of '12 owners are going to be upset if it's something big, that doesn't seem likely though

The big news is that the Pentastar has been dropped because of all the ticking head issues. It's being replaced with a new 325HP V6 that gets 26MPG hwy. The irony is that it's based off the old 3.8 and can fit as a direct swap for current 3.8 engines and will work with the older computer systems. It will not work at all for the now under-powered 2012.

Towing capacity has been increased to 5000lbs for the 2 door and 7500lbs for the 4dr. All jeeps will come with 4:10 with otional 4:88 and 5:13.

Tom, dont forget they are doing away with the 29 inch tires with 16 inch rims and that they will all come standard with 33s on 15s stock

new engine for 2013

Really ? A new 325 horse v6 for 2013 ? Are you serious ? Please tell me because I'm about to buy a 2012 model but I'll wait for the new engine for sure. If your joking, I'll get the joke. Thanks !

Resale price for the 12's will drop way off, just like the 11's did. Just wait until the 13's come out and they will practically give the 12's away.

Yes, he's joking.

Err, I mean, no, he's totally serious. The lines he's dropping in this thread are NOTHING AT ALL like the lines we all heard . . . constantly . . . every . . . single . . . day . . . in the six months or so prior to the debut of the 3.6. Yup, he's totally serious.

Surely you understand that you've just got to get used to this--it's in the nature of buying vehicles. Evolution marches on for better or for worse. Recent 2006 owners saw the debut of the JK in 2007, 2010 owners saw the interiors change for 2011, 2011 owners saw the 3.6 debut in 2012, etc.

Don't believe anything you hear about what's new for 2013 until the all knowing Milous verifies it!

He's already posted the 2013 colors. What's next????

Yes, but no one knew that the 3.6 would be a complete failure in the Wrangler after it's successful debut in the GC. Apparently that loop that is required for the exhaust causes undue wear on the muffler bearings, thus causing the infamous ticking head.

Exactly! Where do you think I got this from? Out of thin air?

Don't forget that I'm the one that stepped into that 2012 thread and told people that Milous was the real deal.

I thought it caused a low blinker fluid condition?

I think not even the Chryler engineers know what's the cause of the ticking noise

I think this is mostly old news. I shopped around in February before buying used and even back then, the dealer told me about next year's 325hp 3.8.
