Depends on the top. The cheap ones stretch and flap around at 45-50 MPH. It's worth investing in a quality one, they last longer and work better. The good ones will just inflate slightly even at 70-75 MPH. Bestop is a good choice.

I have the Bestop Safari top for a 4 door, is that one 70-75?

I have the cable style safari top on my 2 door. Before I replaced the rear straps, it would flap around like crazy at 70, and one time it rolled in on itself and started flapping so violently that I had to pull off the road. The rear straps ended up fraying (probably from me yanking in them trying to get the thing tightened up), so I replaced them with some nylon straps with a metal buckle that I got at Home Depot. Now it just flaps a little at 70-75.

On my TJ I have door surrounds that the Bikini tucks into so yeah it is/ was real stable....I have looked at the Bikini for the JK but at this point in time I know I wouldn't use like I do the TJ so haven't pulled the trigger......maybe a spring or cable system could get the sides tight like the old TJs...just a thought.....

but even on the JK's with ST the door surround do not "tuck the top" like the TJs or they would loose the "sun-rider" feature. It is a fine balance of tight enough to not flap or roll, but loose enough that the straps or top is not destroyed from the tension or force of the wind.....
