whats the widest tire for a 16x8 rim?

just curious because im about to make the purchase...... i was thinking about the goodyear duratracs..... probably 33 inch

They can probably be put on but they may look really funny.

duratracs LT285/75/16 will fit. as far as the widest tire ... 33x12.5 would fit depending on the backspacing. if offroading, then you might encounter issues....easily fixed with a lift.

i have a 2.5" TF coil lift..... backspacing is 4.25, here is the actual wheel:

I think he is asking about whether the width of the rim will prevent tires from being put on. I believe rim width is not a problem under standard sizes like 10~15.5
