A friend posted this on Facebook.
Could this be the new 2013 JK.
I'm pretty sure this is not the U.S. 2013 JK, but it is still fun to see what's out there. Looks like a Toyota FJ. Look at the grill, the hood, and the covered door/hood hinges.

Most definitely not a 2013 Jeep Wrangler.

That looks like a Wrangler design ripoff by a Chinese manufacturer. Maybe a concept type car.

If that's a Jeep, then this is a Jeep too:

I don't think that's a Jeep product. Its missing the 7 trademark vents -representing the seven continents.

You do realize that is conjecture and not a fact, right? That's right up there with the origin of the name.

It's funny that the Chinese jeep is going to jump ahead of the American version in the 'modern looks' department.

Not saying that I like it, but it could be just as capable as our square boxes..

If jeep ever starts making wranglers look like that I'll be rebuilding this engine till I'm too old to drive it anymore.

Even so, its still a trademark look for the front grill of Wranglers. Its how people recognize the brand. I would hope they wouldn't change that.

This was tried once before, part of the logo change to the seven slat, kia or deawoo, remember them, tried a knock off, the grill killed it as a trademark infringement

Well they obviously like it enough they sued over it once already. I think that's one trademark we'll get to keep. Otherwise I stand by my previous statement.

Why is it being called a Jeep?
It's not a Jeep.

PLA Army's 2nd gen "battlefield taxi" ---"Brave Warrior (勇士)" 4x4 military jeep, produced by China Beijing Jeep Corporation Ltd (BJC).

There is more info on the link below, towards the bottom of the page.

In many parts of the world all SUV's are referred to as "Jeeps". It's kind of like calling a tissue a Kleenex.

I've never done any night wheeling, but for driving on roads at night the headlights+fogs seem to do a great job for me.
