What's wrong with me?!?

I think I've been converted!! After two weeks with our new jeep I finally drove my SRT8..... And it just doesn't do it for me anymore! I would actually rather drive the jeep than the challenger. Im even thinking of trading it in on another more road friendly jeep like a liberty or grand Cherokee. Do any of y'all have one of the other jeeps? Has anyone moved from sports cars to jeeps?

Lots of threads on this already....but

I owned a 2006 Mustang Gt supercharged with 509rwhp 460 Tq.

I prefer driving my jeep over that most days.

My wife and I have an 07 Patriot. We really like it, but not a huge fan of the CVT in it. My brother owns a TJ and a Liberty. I think they really like the Liberty as well. I don't think you could go wrong with either the Liberty or GC. Just my $.02

We actually had a 4x2 patriot we traded in on the JKU. Didn't like the CVT either and felt it was to small and low to the ground.

Ours is a 4x4 with the freedom II package and 4L. I think it came stock a little higher with the nice wheels so it isn't too bad. My wife drives it and she came from a Mitsubishi Eclipse so the Patriot is a giant to her.

Yep...sold my 600 HP AMG Mercedes...perfer the Jeep. Got tired of the AMG as a daily driver. The Jeep is more fun. The AMG is very electronic one might say.

Maybe you're aging out of it. We sold our M3 two years ago. In addition to our 10 Rubi and 89 YJ we have a Mini Cooper. What's happening to me.

I agree. The Jeep is also new. But for me I kind of got tired of the sports car thing. Probably the big reason is that it got my blood pressure up too high in traffic. Driving from point A to B was an exercise in calming techniques and blood pressure control. For some reason having 600 HP under my foot made me a different person---not in a good way.

We have a 2008 Liberty along with my Wrangler. When we bring the whole family we use the Liberty.

That's what I'm afraid of. I've only had sports cars as DD until now. I'm only 23 though. Aging out of it seems just wrong. My wife finds it hilarious! Lol

I think I'm going to wait and see how the new body style is and either pick up a '12 or the new one depending on the changes.

What's the gas mileage on the challenger?

Like 13 or something?

I was looking at that a two years ago, when I was looking for a car to go with the Jeep.

Ended up with the VW GTI...I prefer driving the Jeep also except when gas prices start going up.

My wife bought a brand new Murano. Normally, I'm always aching to drive new cars, but since the Jeep, she had to beg me to finally drive it after she had it 2 weeks. Felt like driving a space ship. Too refined. I hated it. I have to drive it sometimes when we need extra cargo space, and the car just really creeps me out. And it's not jus the Murano...I think all cars just creep me out now that I have the Jeep.

Couldn't part with the mini... Got both. My gf likes both (as do I), but they are both totally different drivers. Jeep is more fun for me, but every once in a while when I drive the mini I get a bit heavy on it. In fact, my gf traded the Mini Clubman (auto) in recently for a coupe S with a manual - that's a whole different kind of fun to drive, but when weather turns foul or we're not driving Interstates, the Mini is always left home. She says she enjoys riding in the Jeep more than driving the Mini... And since my philosophy since getting the Jeep is "Roads - Optional" we generally find a way to have some fun almost every time we're out... Not much of a Liberty fan, but the new GC looks pretty decent.

It's around 15 in town and I can do almost 23 on the interstate. Averaging about 16.5 now.

I think that's it. I'm tired of having a car I can't drive 4-5 months outta the year and have to avoid crummy weather.

I came from a handful of M3's and some other fast imports to Jeep, now that is all we drive. My wife has an 08' Liberty and I have my Wrangler. Had my sportbike to relieve my urge for speed, but after a bad accident I think I'll stick with the Jeep only!

Hah! I traded my 2007 Lexus IS350 for my Wranger. Instead of avoiding potholes and slightly taller curbs I now consider them "normal" :-)
I just had it for a few hours now but its just tons more fun....

I like most of you have as some would say OCD problem with cars

2012 Rubicon 2dr on order to replace my 2004 Rubicon: By far my personal favorite to drive and explore offroad trails here in NH.

2008 Landcruiser: Main winter travel vehicle for New England. Never been up against anything it could not handle on the road. Lots of times just me and a few others on the roads.

2006 MiniCooper JCW Supercharged: Fulfills the need for speed and road hugging fun.

2008 F350 SuperDuty Diesel: My workhorse and plow truck.

Hey it's all great fun and Jeeps are kick-ass

I had a Jeep Liberty and it was very capable on and off road. I recommend them. Traded it for a Wrangler because I've always wanted one.

No tow hooks or hitch points on the LIBERTY make a pretty good issue if your gonna wheel it.

The fact is that if you live in Ohio, a fast car is just potential with rare reality. Seeing big horsepower cars doing the same speed as a family sedan makes you think about what is fun to drive. Fun to drive, that is, in the zerp to ninery playground most routinely dwell in.

The Jeep is fun, and different... and with the live axles and suspension, Im discovering road topography I never knew existed. Lol
