I average 14-15 around town with 35's and 3.73's. Saturday I am making a day trip to Austin from Dallas. This will be the first trip with only highway miles. I am hoping for 17-18 and I would like to make it on one tank, but I bet I have to fill up somewhere between.

2012 Auto 3.73 - 17.5 city 19.5 hwy. If I keep the speed under 65 (hwy), I have seen close to 21

I've only checked the mpg's for 3 tanks so far:

1st tank was 19.1, computer said 18.3 (mix of hwy and city)
2nd tank was 20.9, computer said 22.3 (mostly hwy)
3rd tank was 22.6, computer said 22.6 (mostly hwy and to same location as above)

I have a 2013 6 sp Sport with Rubicon Rails and Ace Rock Rails, 17" stock tires and wheels. No other mods except grab handles and plasti dipped the wheels, if that even counts as a mod. lol

I MUST be doing something wrong...

2013 sport, 3.21 gears, 6-speed manual, stock sized tires - dash tells me 14mpg....

Mostly suburb driving between my house and the park & ride - highway a couple times a week.

For those who drive stick with the pentastar engine, what RPMs do you usually cruise at? I've been keeping it around 1800-2200 to try not to lug the engine, upshift between 2500 and 3000, downshift at 1500.

Maybe I have a heavy foot

Last fillup 12.54. Two weeks ago driving the aerodynamic wonder into the the wind on I-40 through AZ I got 10.91 and then 9.94. My best on the highway during that trip was 16.22. The only reason to track MPG on a Wrangler is to see how low you can make it go.

i'm about 1,500 miles on the OD so far and i changed out the tires to 275/65-18 GRABBER AT2s...same diameter as stock but more chunky tread..only about 2# heavier...
I am averaging about 19.5 between 70 mph highway and back roads, don't really do much "city" driving.

2011 4 door 3.73 35x12.50x17 nitto trail grapplers, armor,

and I still get 16 mpg not bad for a highschooler trying to impress the chikas with a 3.8.

Mine's all over the place. I drove to work the other day in a winter storm, had 40mph tail winds, 4hi, and 40mph @ 1800rpm. I was getting 25.2mpg! On the way home 30mph head winds, rwd, 55mph @ 3000rpm! I was getting 14.6mpg!

On a normal day 60mph @ 2200rpm I get anywhere from 17-21mpg. Anything over 65 is usually around 17mpg.

I have a '13 auto unlimited rubi with 4:10 gears, no lift, 283/70/17 tires.

2013 JKUR 3.73 Auto with 1,500 miles on it. I am getting 16 around town and 20 on the highway if I keep it just below 70. I use Exxon gas with no ethanol which helps a little.

There are some days I really miss my '95 YJ S. However, I really like the power my '13 2 dr Sport has to cruise on the highway and I also like the mileage. I was averaging about 22 mpg in a strong crosswind last night on a stretch of interstate. Less than 900 miles on the ODO.

2009 Unlimited Rubicon, 3.8l engine, 4.10 gears, still on stock tires. I drive about 70% highway. Averaging 15 to 17 mpg. I can't wait for the mpg drop when I lift it in a few weeks.

How long is your average trip? If you are doing lots of short runs, your mileage will suck because you spend a much higher percentage of your driving at less than full operating temperature. My '12 6spd seriously sucks gas when the motor is cold...just sayin'

I was getting around 20 in the winter, now I'm seeing 21-22.

My trips are usually a tiny bit over 3 miles, and it's cold as hell here. It's true, it doesn't warm up until the last stretch of the trip.

My dash calculation is off, I've never seen an accurate dash read out on any rig. I use an app called Gas Cubby for my iPhone, tracks all my gas purchases and maintenance and I can in put things like tire rotation schedules. I set my wife as well and with the sync it reminds me when her car needs schedule maintenance too. No I'm not affilaited with the company, just a happy user.

Well, I got 16mpg with 100% hwy driving. I guess the good news is I don't need to drive slowly trying to save gas. Gas mileage is same no matter what speed I drive.

I have an 08 X with 32" Yokohama geolandar AT-S tires. I get just shy of 20 on the highway, 14 in the actual city and 17 in towns. Towing my jet ski I get 18 on the highway and towing my boat I get 15
