Wheel and Tire Question

I have a 2011 Wrangler Unlimited and I'm looking at some 33X12.50R15 General Grabber AT2 Tires on 15x10 ProComp Series 98 Rock Crawler Steel Wheels.. Should that work on my Jeep or will I need to get something else to make it work??

I'm extremely new to this, any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry... I posted this one before I saw there was a Wheel and Tire forum and I'm new so I didn't know how to delete this one.

no worries... the more you're around here... you'll start to appreciate the search function.

there's a lot of great information the forum, in some cases it's easier to start a new thread... in many cases, it's best to do some homework first... you'll get a lot more participation when you do that.

My main thing is I'm just curious if I can get away with running those 33x12.50R15 on 15x8 Wheels or if I have to go to 15x10 because of how wide the tire is. Also, if anyone else is running the 15" Steel ProComp wheels on a 2011 Wrangler because I read somewhere that the 2010 and up Models they changed something about the Brake Calipers to where a 15" Steel wheel might not fit over them.

You will be fine as far as tires

Google the wheel choice and size.
Sure you will find pics of them installed.

and when you're set on what you want... might not be a bad idea to PM DTD (discount tire direct) on this forum... and run it by them. they will tell you if that setup has worked on a JK or not..

No problem running those tires on 8" rims. Many people run that setup, myself included.

Lots of folks run 33x12.5R15s on 15x8 wheels--myself included.

HOWEVER, most steel 15" wheels don't fit over the JK's calipers and never have. You'll likely need spacers or need to grind your calipers. I'd look at alloys unless you can be sure these Pro Comps will fit. Send a PM to forum vendor "Discount Tire" and they'll send you a list of 15" alloy wheels that they guarantee will fit.
