wheel spacers & oversize tires

Hello everyone. I'm running 33X11.20's on the stock wheels of my 2010 Unlimited. Despite assurances from another Jeep site that I would have no problems with them, I find that they are rubbing on the front torsion bar at full crank of the steering wheel. I know that ideally I should get new wheels with the proper offset but the bucks are short these days. Anybody have any experiences with 1.5" aluminum wheel spacers? Would this be a solution to the tires rubbing? Do they put any additional strain on the hubs? Are there any concerns with corrosion from aluminum being mounted on steel? I know a lotta ifs and questions but I want to research this out before I make any decisions.

That should work. I have a set of SpiderTrax spacers on my JKU and they've been great (stock tires though). Run a search in this forum for "SpiderTrax" and you should get a bunch of stuff making the pro/con arguments.

Adapters will work, but if they do require routine maintenance. MTH was right on about searching for more info. However, if you are only rubbing at full lock you can adjust the steering stops with a washer or two and call it done too.... Much less expensive

Thanx MTH & InfernoGirl. I hate to sound like an idiot, but where are the steering stops and where does the washer go, etc. If I've learned one thing over the years it's don't screw with something you don't know about.

Jeep Steer Stop Adjustment Here you go, it looks easy, never done it, but I think it's pretty straight forward....
