Wheel tire package

Wanted to get some input on a good wheel tire package (size) for a Wrangler Sahara 2dr. Need to replace the tires and may use this opportunity to change out the wheels. Probably not going to lift it. Mostly around town driving. Didn't know what size would look good. Of course, it currently has 18". Heard that if you get out of the 18" tires prices go down a bit. Photos would be great.

Thanks a bunch. This forum is great!

you're correct to say that getting out of 18's saves money. I was shown this thread when I had similar questions...

Bam!

Everything you need to know is in that link. ^^^

You could buy 15" tires and wheels for the price of 18" tires alone.

I gather from that link that 16x8 rims with at least 5" backspace and 285/75/16 tires would work with no modifications????

Thanks again for the guidance

*at most 5" backspacing*

5" or less. But yeah 16x8 and 5" backspacing would work fine with those
