Probably kijiji or craigslist, lot's of people sell almost new ones there for good discounts.
Or try www.discounttiredirect.com for brand new, their prices seem pretty decent

What is affordable? What do you want? Affordable is highly subjective to what you are looking for. I'm running TrailWorthyFab tires and wheels and feel they are a good bang-for-the-buck set. $2,500 for 5 fully mounted and delivered.

$1600?? probably a simple spacer kit front and rear with slightly bigger tires... You get what you pay for IMO to get decent lift and 5 good tires/wheels you should be somewhere between $2500-3000

Without knowing the details on the kit it's hard to say if it's a good price... What size/kind of tires and wheels does it come with? Is it just spacer pucks for the springs?

Discount tire direct $1400 for a set of 4 33/12.50/15 Good Year Duratracs mounted on MBO TKO wheels. If money is tight you can always buy 4 now and when you sell the OEM ones buy the 5th.

You should be able to do better than that at dtd. You get discounts for ordering online, even if you order over the phone, and discounts for being a forum member, and rebates on the tires and usually on the wheels too.

This goes to a lift for xj cherokees, not jk's but either way as others have said you should be able to find 33" tires on 15" for under $2000 then a budget boost like teraflex for $150... You should be able to do the lift and 5 wheels and tires for under $2000 if you do some research

Ga23, not sure where you are located but craigslist always has something. If you truly are on a tight budget, watch for a 4-tire set with rims....you can always get spacer/adaptors to fit different lug patterns. 50% worn tires are pretty cheap.

and stay in the "normal" range of wheels size; 15" or 16" will be the cheapest tires.

I'm in Orange County CA. Is that recommended though to get adapters. Does it drive different with adapters

I have 2" spacers on mine, twice an adaptors thickness. Many will tell you it can't be done, it can. It will accentuate ANY front end problems, but if everything is solid you won't have any problems.

My total back space is less than 2".
