Wheels with 3.5 back spacing

I recently bought an ion alloy 174 wheel 15x8 with 3.5 back spacing. I test fit it and it seems to have some room between the wheel and the front caliper. I wish I would have taken pics but didn't. There isn't too much room between the two though, I can stick my index finger between them fine. I wanted to know if anybody else had experience with a wheel of this size on a jk. And I will be mounting it on so e duratracs 33x 12.50

If you can stick your index finger between the calliper and the rim you wont have issues at all. Our stock 17in rims down here with our larger 13in front discs have so small a clearance I cant even jam the tip of my little finger in there. To be more technical, we only have about 3/16in average gap. Hence why we cant go smaller than 17's (some 16's will fit, but need around 3.5in backspace like you, though would get pulled over by the cops before the first corner!)

Cheers from Downunder, Dave.

I got the MB Chaos 5 wheels with 3.75 bs and the only issue I have with my 33's is some rubbing when I turn sharply in reverse and hit any type of bump. Otherwise there is no issue.

Great as far as I know Louisiana doesn't have any laws for tires sticking out past the fender. Thanks for the info.
