When folding down the top...

do you somehow strap the top together so it bundled up nice and neat, or do you just let it hang like this...?

I actually let mine hang like that when I actually have it attached. At first I tried to be neat about it, but I just gave up and let her hang where she falls.

They do make a boot that keeps the top nice and neat. Daggo has one, but he uses his to keep his top dry when it rains. Hah!!!!

I pull the wide nylon straps that are attached to the underside of the top over the front clamps to hold everything in place. I've actually had a unsecured top bang down hard against the inner wheel tubs during some "spirited offroad driving".

Since Hubster (that's his new name) is too cheap to spring for a soft top boot, I did this instead. 3 straps with D rings & velcro.

I've seen people use straps to hold it together. I run the Bestop Instatrunk when not using my hard top, so the soft top sits on top of that when it's down, but I also use the Mopar soft top boot as well.

When I fold mine back it doesn't really hang down. Between the tailgate and the seat they hold it pretty much level with the top of the tub.

Straps look clean - but anal as I am, I went with the boot. It is smooth and clean in appearance but serves other purposes as well!

Does anyone have a rear seat? I let mine (on a TJ) hang just like the original poster, but you can't see it with the back seat in.

when lowering it, fold the header section along the breaks then pull the section between the bows towards you (over the top) and then wrap it around the bows.

See page 9 of the bestop supertop install doc. http://www.bestop.com/images/install...ides/54722.pdf

You can get a Smittybilt boot cover for less than $50 and it has straps to wrap it up nice and neat with it.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but what trailer hitch rack is that? I'm in the market for one and it looks pretty sturdy. I was thinking about picking the cheap one up at harbor freight, but your pick caught my eye.

thanks,
Brad

I'd like to know as well.

What kind of weight can the hitch hold in relation to these kind of racks? .. or is it just about the weight limit on the rack and the hitch will hold whatever it is...?
