When ordering, can you go outside the "build your own" options?

I'm wondering if I can deviate from the typical build your own options when ordering.

For example...

Could I order body color fenders on a JKU Sport?

4.10 Gears on a JKU Sport with A/T?

32" BFG (Rubicon) tires?

I don't want the features to justify the +3K for the Sahara and I won't get full use of the +6K for the Rubicon package, at least any time soon. Trying to work within a budget here but there are some things I like that aren't on the Sport S.

Yeah I read that. Well.. the first 10 pages and the last 5. Are you telling me my answers are hidden somewhere in the remaining 38 pages?

IIRC
4.10 Rubi only
Painted flares: Standard on Sahara, optional on Rubi.
The answer would be no, you can't order beyond what Jeep shows as options per model.

hi, i do not think you can go outside of the order procedure, however
you can... make a million changes after u get your jeep, i wanted the base wrangler
but could not get trac lock on the base wrangler, i had to order the S group,
which cost $2200 for the 17" wheels, and rims, as for the painted fenders,
they come standard on sahara and no cost option on rubi.....
i am sure others will chime in. with more info..

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone actually tried?

I know there's a ton of aftermarket support but those three alone would probably run about $2500 so I figured I'd at least ask.

Thanks again for the input.

Painted fenders are a $100 upgrade on the Rubi.

Wife's answer - "why don't you just get the Sahara... and can you get the heated seats too?" Hmm... wonder if I could convince her to go for the Arctic edition, living in Florida and all.

It makes you upgrade the hard top too.. making it an $1800 option.

Hahaha. No.... You don't have to read the whole thing. Options are listed by package with invoice price. That's how you can order.

Haha yeah I get how it normally works. But like in the example above, if it's $100 to add painted fenders to the Rubi, it would be great to have that option on the Sport versus a $600 paint job or painted after-market fenders that run $1000. Was seeing if anyone knew for sure if if could or couldn't be done.

It's closer to $1000, they charge ~$700 for the hardtop by itself(JKU).

I didn't see a really direct answer above so, I'll give you one.....

Absolutely not!

Those desirable 'niceties' are designed to force you to buy a higher level model if you want all the bells and whistles. That seems to be just how it is working on you, for instance....

Aftermarket, you can do anything, of course. But, sometimes that is a more expensive route than ponying up when you order, sometimes not so much.

The Rubi has heated seat in the leather option.

Thanks - at least you followed the question was more than 'what are my options'.

I was being facetious, but there actually is an Arctic at a dealer here. It would be amusing to rock that thing around the beach in 100+ temps. I priced one out and it seems like a glorified Sahara really. It's too bad it doesn't have the offroad stuff from the Rubi.

I'm leaning towards the Sahara for now. Not fond of the 18" wheels but I'll take the compromise.

Sorry. I thought I was answering it. That's what you can get. Meaning NO anything else.

Unless you weren't planning to get the hardtop (I am though). Lots of up-sells at every corner. I'm just glad there are a ton of aftermarket options and a nice following of enthusiasts!
