Installing Rigid's Dually D2 LED's on A-Pillar on my 2015 Rubicon 4dr.
This will be my 1st additional light installed on my jeep and maybe the last - don't see myself getting lightbar, additional driving lights etc ...
(I will be upgrading my headlights, fog lights and brake lights this year when JW Speaker releases the "J" series)
For now, my question is this regarding the D2's:
1. Where should I install the switch? or ....
2. Should I install a switch panel (maybe a 3 switch panel)? Connect D2's to one and leave 2 available for any future uses?
I don't see myself needing a large switch panel like the sPod - overkill for what I will connect
Depending on the switch that comes on the harness......
I put the switch for my a-pillar lights in the open hole on the inside of the a-pillar... top one. If you look there is a bolt I believe to fold down the windshield? Just pop the panels off, run the wire, and I used a grommet to help hold the switch. Its not perfect but good enough for now and its out of the way. I'll try to post pictures by tomorrow night if I remember.
I would get one of the OTRATTW switch bezels and three of there awesome rockers.
I think the best place on a JK to install a switch panel is just to the left of the steering column, right above the speaker. Here is a shot of the rough cut hole I made. This was for a 5 rocker switch panel but same difference for 3 switch panel. Another bonus to this location is that there is a place to run the the wires through the fire wall right behind the dashboard side panel.

I have the rugged ridge A pillar panel, I also have the daystar lower console panel, total of 9 switches. the A pillar is far more convenient so I put things like my lockers and main lightbar there, and put my siren and police lights and CB on the lower panel. As an electrician I have a boner for nice switches.

Thanks . . I think I am going to mount it on the A Pillar. Just can't decide whether to mount the D2 switch or on a panel like yours. I'm leaning towards a panel now . .
You can also use an A-pillar switch pod. Rugged Ridge makes one. Holds for switches. Or just use the stock A-pillar and a small switch.
