I'm upgrading the Jeep this weekend with a lift kit (Teraflex 4" w/ 8 Flexarms) and want to put new shoes on her too. I'm looking at going with the XD Addicts in 17x9 and Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35x12.5x17. Any recommendations on where to get the best deal?

For tires discounttiredirect.com, not sure about this forum but other forums have a discount worked out for them. If they have the wheels you want they can have them mounted and balanced and shipped to you ready to go.

A lot of people dislike them on here but the best deal I found was actually Desert Rat. I was a little limited because I wanted Pintlers but decent customer service, mounted/ balanced/ tpms installed, and got here quick. They have several options on package deals. Give them a look. Good luck.

+1 for Discount tires direct, call and ask for Chris when you order.

He'll give you a wrangler forum discount.

Just got my 35" MT's in the mail today from DTD.

I like my Discount Tire shop. Good service, no BS. How can I get a Wrangler discount at my local shop? I want to buy another set of GY Silent Armor before the are discontinued.

Local Discount tire for me as well. Last 2 times I went in, they matched DTD prices.

So you got the online quote and took it to the local DT?

Ok, if you buy from Discount Tires Direct does the local DT mount, balance, etc? Or, is that extra?

I actually got better pricing on new tires from a local independent shop than Discount or Tire Rack. It's worth it to shop around locally as well.

Check 4wheelparts.com. I just ordered DuraTracs and Pro Comp wheels for $600 less than Discount Tire Direct.... Which I would assume would be cheaper than my local Discount Tire. I also got free mounting and balancing, shipping and will get a $60 rebate when I mail it in.

I agree, Discount Tire always seems to have great service no matter where you go. Always my first choice.

But remember their prices are just as flexible as the Jeep dealer's. Don't hesitate to ask them to price match, negotiate the best out-the-door pricing, etc. It's like buying a Jeep all over again!

For whatever reason, our local Discount store, seems to beat the Discount Direct price.

EXAMPLE: Discount Direct gets $280, less a $25 rebate, for a Duratrack 285x70RX17 tire. My Son-in-Law, just bought a set from our Local Discount store for $225 each.
That is $120 savings on the set, and that included the install. Tax, balance, and road hazard cost was extra!

Tires from Walmart

I will probably get slammed for this but during my search for best deal on the 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's Walmarts site came up and not only was cheaper but also there was not shipping charge for me to pick them up at a Walmart with a auto service center which was only about 15 miles from me. They don't have the largest selection and searching tires on their site isn't the best. But if you know what you want and enter it in the search bar its worth a look. It saved me a great deal of money. Wheels, all I can suggest is to stay away from Quadratec, they are a little high priced in my opinion. I bought my Rugged Ridge wheels from East Coast Jeeps and found them on Amazon. Yeah I'm a cheapskate!

For my wife's tires/wheels, we went with local discount tire shop that matched the DTD.com price and included lifetime rotation and balance. great service. They even rotate and balance my tires even though I bought them from DTD. I wish I knew they would have matched DTD when buying mine.

I just went in and told them what price I could get them for and they looked up the prices. As for mounting tires from DTD, yes, local store charges for that. I have always been happy with local Discount store.
