Where to install Lockpick so it's accessible?

It seems that most people place it next to the radio. I'd like to find a location where I can get to it without pulling the dashboard apart. I was thinking somewhere around the glove compartment. That way I could just pop out the glove box. Has anyone done that? Where exactly did you put it? Also is there a clear path to run the wire harness to the radio?

Under the steering wheel, that panel pops off.

Double-sided tap to the removable flat, black bracket underneath the steering column. I think that might be where the amps on the older JK's used to go.

But even then, all the wires are still hooked up to the back of the HU. I can't remember, but I think mine is on the back side of the bracket.

Would it be dumb to ask what this thing you're installing is? The name had me intrigued.

That depends on where you live. The Lockpick they're referring to is like a jailbreak/hack for your on-board Nav system or stereo. It lets you do a bunch of stuff that you wouldn't normally be able to do. I'm thinking about getting it so my passenger can type in a address on the GPS while the JK is in motion. That limitation is ridiculous.

I got it primarily to enable me to add a backup and front camera relatively easily.
