I think you are just asking too much for it. If you asked 800 for your hard top I think it would sell very quickly. You can ask your dealer. They buy take off tops when people don't want the dual top. I think they usually give about $6-800

Ive purchased 2 hard tops. The first one was $1200 but that was a brand new take off and it was in 2010 when there was an 8 month back order from the factory. I drove 3 hours each way to get it because there was nothing closer. The second hard top I bought for a friend. That one was only $500. That was a good deal. He drove 2 hours to get it from me.

But I believe if you lowered your price to below $1000 it would be easier to sell

I think that you are making a big mistake in selling it. I did that once on a hard top on a 2003 TJ and was always sorry that I sold it.

I think that $1200 is to cheap, I would bump it back up to $1500. You can always come down with a offer. At $1500 they normally don't last a day on craigslist in Phoenix. This may very in other states. This is based on yours being in excellent condition. If your is damaged, then this does not apply!
At $800 you would be giving it away.............

I am having the dilemma too. My 2012 came with the HT, and I ran it all winter. Now I have this huge top in my garage taking up the space. And I like the ST more...it's more "jeepish."

Thinking of selling mine.

Hardtops are one of those things if you want one you have trouble finding one and if you do they are expensive but if you try and sell one you can't give it away.....kind of like a jeep lol. for $800 I would find a place to store it instead of selling it.

You don't want to keep it living in NY? I'm there all winter and it would be a pain to have to clear snow off several times a storm as opposed to just once on a hard top.

Either way, if you're patient it will sell eventually. If you can wait till fall that's when they sell the fastest. It's harder to sell a hard top in the summer if you live up north

The biggest reason I'm keeping my ht is because it's impossible to access the cavernous rear of my unlimited with a brittle window in my way.

I put mine on Craigslist and here for $1500. I sold it in about 24 hours, ended up taking $1200 cash for it. It is more about timing then anything else, if there are already a bunch being sold in your area just wait. In my case there was one other, but it was listed for $1900.
